My new chiptune album/EP is out! soudou of skrow!media had this to say about the album:

Holy chips, Batman! Today greets the arrival of the second offering from Elizabethtown, KY native Nick Hagman aka Nario. The followup to 2009’s Most of Me, the astutely titled More of Me is all chip all awesome all the time. The seven sizzlin’ songs here boast varied influences from rock, electro pop, dance, industrial and more, all neatly bundled into a retro 8-bit package of blip love and hot groove.

You can download it at skrow!media or Bandcamp, or you can also pre-order the CD with two bonus tracks!

Also, my Bandcamp doesn't have the track commentary on it, so here's a copy of it for those jumping to there: Track Commentary

  2. Testing, testing... Is this mic on?

Anyways, I may not be around OCR often, but I can say that a whitelist is a must for a Minecraft server nonetheless. The server on The Shizz (Shizzvania) got griefed so much that we had to put up the whitelist. It's been peaceful ever since!

I might jump on this server soon. I'm going to be gone for a couple of upcoming days, but I look forward to contributing when I can!

  3. EPISODE 1 -

    EPISODE 2 -

EPISODE 3 - ...coming soon? Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

    ---

In my dance pad thread, I announced that I'd be giving dance pad games a break and that I'd start up a new series, Chips Of Gaming, where I'd review video games and other things instead.

Months later, I have finally finished my first review: for Shadow The Hedgehog.

All feedback is welcome. :) Thanks.

  4. Alternatively you could just make a new thread advertising your new endeavors when they come to fruition. I think that would be the ideal route, actually - some people might want to just see Dance Pad action while others might want to just see your reviews, and that'll keep things clean for everyone.

Hmm... Isn't there a limit to how many threads one can have in General >> Community? Or is that only pertaining to threads advertising original albums that eventually get pushed back to Originals/Other forum?

  5. Best of luck with your music/game review stuff. Rolfe probably won't review Shadow the Hedgehog anytime soon, though, since he sticks to older video games, so it's all on you.

    I'm glad you approve!

If you do review any video game tracks you could take a look through this thread, if you want any ideas. Just saying, you know, if you want to point out any cool little tidbits on any of those classics.

I appreciate the offer, but I wouldn't be looking at music with such complexity or with a focus on music theory. It would be more about ranking certain soundtracks or even discography from non-video game bands.

Maybe I should change the name of this thread? It's obviously not just about dance pad videos anymore.

  6. Or Duck Tales.

You'd be surprised! Because... uh... I've discovered in my own free time that..... DuckTales is at least 3x harder than Ninja Gaiden. (on a dance pad!)

Holy shit, he beat it?! Err, *cough* I knew you could do it this whole time, of course :<.

Really, though, when you first announced the game I was wondering what you were going to do, there. I'm very impressed. Now go beat Battletoads or Silver Surfer .

(I wouldn't be surprised if you could, at this point)

haha, I've wondered the same! I've heard that Silver Surfer is simply a game of memory, so..... nononono!!! :-D
