*I recommend these because they have very important self-commentary annotations on them.

I beat Air Man from Mega Man 2 (NES)... WITH A DANCE PAD.

People voted between DuckTales and Mega Man 2, and this won by a landslide!

This is the first video in the series of me playing Mega Man 2 with a dance pad. Previously, I beat Castlevania and Super Mario Bros. with a dance pad, and while I doubt I'll be able to beat Dr. Wily's Castle, it doesn't hurt to try, right?

Stay tuned for more, because it's just going to get harder and harder from here on out!

  2. How would you play Ducktales if it's not on VC? An emulator through the HBC?

Bingo. You're smart for realizing it's not on VC! ;-)

I'm not making this very well known, though, because that would give haters the idea that I'm using save states in my runs, which I am ABSOLUTELY NOT. I'm performing everything legit and it's harder than anyone could ever know.

  3. or give me a footjob

    goddam

ahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!! I think you'd be fairly disappointed in my service!

You didn't die! That was impressive. Though I would've liked to see a full run of the game without warps.

    So you noticed! :-) Oh, but it took me a week and a half to beat just those levels, and I'm sure it would've taken me a whole month to do all 32 levels, you know, without getting a Game Over. @_@;;;;

    Thanks everyone!

  4. I beat Super Mario Bros. (NES)... WITH A DANCE PAD.

It took me a week and a half to do this, and got about 14 Game Overs.

Please vote on which game I should play next: DuckTales 1 (NES) or Mega Man 2 (NES)!

EDIT: Mega Man 2 is the winner with 108 votes!

And for those of you who missed this video, I also made a Training Montage for Super Mario Bros.! In it, I prepare to play the game with epic music playing in the background!

  5. it's kind of hard to believe you're the same person after all the hilarious shit that happened on vgmix2

but I'm sincerely glad no one permanently scared you off :)

I don't know how I did it. I was so naive to the Internet as a whole back then. I feel like I've matured a lot since then, too!

Jeff Gerstmann of Giant Bomb just sent a friend request to me on Facebook. Yes, not the other way around.

I love Giant Bomb and always have, but ever since they mentioned me on The Bombcast I can't stop thinking about how surreal it is. Ryan Davis said my name, and that's just so cool to be acknowledged by some of the coolest dudes ever in the Gaming Industry. Seriously.

With that said, I'm sharing this with Jeff Gerstman:

I hope he watches it. I would mean absolutely so much to me, you all have no idea.

Also: TRAINING MONTAGE - SUPER MARIO BROS.

In this video, I train to beat Super Mario Bros. with a dance pad. YOU MUST WATCH IT.

  6. Coming Soon: Super Mario Bros... ON A DANCE PAD.

    Ignore the troll :-( .

I hate to bring it up even further, but every time I create a thread here on OCR (or in this case, one is created for me), I always get a comment that isn't cool, and it's never from the same person either. I FINALLY thought things were smooth sailing, but then FR came in to show that the pattern still exists here...

I have no need for one, so I don't, sorry!

    :-(

I forgive you, because you're totally awesome! I miss seeing you more, though.

chthonic: I don't have one. Still, it's good to see you again after all these years!

  7. Thanks for sharing this over here, OverCoat! I also appreciate you saying "Watch all of them." :3

The news spread quickly as I beat Castlevania with a dance pad. Next thing I know, I'm on Kotaku, "Nick Hagman" and "castlevania dance pad" is all over Google now,

, etc. etc. etc. All I did was release the video, and BAM!

Crazy! It's such an honor to have my hard work recognized!

(Please tell me you have a Facebook, OverCoat!)

  8. Whoa, I loved ALL of chthonic's work back in the day, and I'm so surprised and so happy to discover that a new song was made! Of course, seeing as how halc worked on it too, I'll definitely have to check out his stuff too!

In any case, this song is just as enjoyable as any other chthonic song! No gripes, always interesting, always charming, nothing short of genius! Yeah, I'm a total fanboy, and proud of it!

Great song, you two! Now I'm off to check out halc's music! :D

Seriously, I'm so excited to find more chthonic material!

  9. What starts off a simple remix of the tried and true Castle Theme, it evolves into something much more than that. Sooner or later, I lost track of the overall rhythm of the song, and that's when I started to truly appreciate it for what it was: unique, catchy, and overall a great trip. I just let the song take me wherever it wanted to take me, and I didn't mind at all that I couldn't always keep up with it.

    Good stuff!
