  1. Just to keep everyone on their toes, i SSed some pics for ya'll.

Now about this movie, is it gonna be animated? 3d? or just flashing screens while the music plays in the background? cause i'm good at taking screens.... i'm REALLY good at it... wish i could remix.. but no.. just screens.. 8O8O8O

in the Zombor pic i cut out Marle cause she isn't there in your script. I was thinking of putting a bunch of Screens together in photoshop, make a whole map of each era. its easy with the Epoch.

  2. good chill music. reminds me of riding on a bus. or a helocopter ride over some snow covered mountains... although i've never been on a helocopter.

Not something you can fall asleep to, and not something you bring to the Gym.

    Very soft, very nice.

2:43 <-- LOVE THIS PIANO solo.

This song would be perfect for the credits of PS 2. Scroll the credits, play this song. Ya dig?

  3. I have to agree with Prot, this one certainly didn't strike me as the quality i come to expect from OCR acceptances. I found it very repetative and boring. The instruments could be tweaked to make them clearer.

I like the lounge-music idea but it needs a song with more substance to it. I can appreciate that it must have been hard for the artist to tangent the theme with almost totally original stuff, but it doesn't work for me.

    NO

  4. Upon first listen, i really didn't hear any obvious SF theme in it. But maybe I'll have to play the game again. Most of the mixes that show up on here i download if i've played the game, and most of the mixes i can hear the themes without the game BGMs. This one is a puzzle for me. Apart from that, it sounds incredable! I'm reminded of the boss sequence in Panzer Dragoon : Orta for some reason. Must be the chorus and the dark ominous drums near the end. Great transitions even tho they only last a few seconds. This song should come with a film.

EDIT: The reason i couldn't hear the theme is because you only hear it in SF a single time (assuming you play the last battle once). So I guess it just didn't stick with me as the song i will remember from this game. But yeah. still awesome.

  5. wonderful song. I really didn't even recognize the themes used, but i'm not the biggest FF7 player (although i did beat CT twice). But that's for the judges to decide. However i got an image in my head. blurry. until i got to 4:50. Then it hit me. AGE OF KINGS! Anyone remember this game? This song reminds me a lot of Japan's theme. It must have something to do with the instruments used. Amazing song, the posted mixes just keep getting better and better.

Actually I'm reminded of two other things when i hear this song. SHOGUN the game and SHOGUN the tv miniseries. even the two aren't related (cept by name) they have very similar soundtracks, and this reminds me of them.

  6. highly enjoyable. Its not a song that i will compare other songs to, its unique. But not in the unique way that we tell ugly people they are unique. i'm talking unique in the Hellen Keller type of unique. The kind where even though she could never hear this great song, she would still find beauty in reading (in braille) our responses to it. Chock one more CT mix into the playlist.

  7. gosh what can we say.. amazing piece. Sounds like it should be the overture to a "castlevania" play. ya know, the song that the orchestra plays before the curtains open. The flute at the beginning has an almost perfect vibrato. :54 is probably the best part of this song. The flute duet that lasts only about 5 seconds is absolutly stunning. the theme repeats around 1:45 and with the oboe sounding instrument in the back, shows the remixer's versatility. the pause around 2:40 was the only thing i didn't like, i would've wanted a smoother transition into the fadeaway. however it still sounded okay. good work, definately one of the best orchestrated pieces on here (we've been getting a lot of those recently eh?)

  8. Wow, I know most of the songs here are remixed, but this one seems to be COMPOSED. It takes the single most remembered theme from zelda, and turns it into a piece i can see the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra recording with Kondo conducting. I wish you'd take the rest of the soundtrack and run it through the same samples. This made me a LindsayAnne Klemm fan.

  9. When i first played it on my friend's xbox, Morrowind seemed boring and "a lot of graphics for not that much fun.." but then i bought my own copy for the PC and found out i loved it. This song is with you for about 99 % of the game, and it sticks in ur mind.

the remix is really good. The tom drum collection is a great background to the crisp set. The theme is pretty basic yet with the instruments used, it sounds epic.

    very nice, make more!

  10. Favourite.Remix.by.Proticity

I've never been a fan of Proticity's works but this one kinda did it for me. There is at least one track I enjoy. Mind you, this remix is from one of the only few games on the SNES that I did enjoy.

..it was also on the Genesis.

Just to respond to CokedUpWerewolf, I've played it a lot. Never beaten it. I remember the last level i played was a giant football field. I think a giant baby was walking around shooting milk at you from his/her giant bottle.

  11. Perfect. This mix is awesome every second through. I actually had winamp minimized and around 2:00 i thought the song was ending, It would have been enough. But nooooo we have to endure another 3 minutes of this incredably superb remix. To be honest i played this game a lot back in my day. I was expecting the normal skip beat song you hear during ur levels of play. But this was much better. The variations on the main theme and the solos really keep the song driving. The ending was okay.. I just didn't really want it to end.

  12. I think at the beginning s/he was trying to use instruments similar to the actual game soundtrack. Then 2:40 he allows other instruments to take over the leads. This song is really really technical. Its amazing to think that this isn't live. It sounds too good. around 4:19 you should add a soundclip of a crowd cheering and clapping (like live concerts). Good song, very clear on the original, and yet very creative in bringing it out.

EDIT: isn't this Aeris' theme? (when u first go to her house after the church)

  13. I played this song for my dad who is a huge interpretive jazz fan. He couldn't believe the song was based on a video game until i played the original for him. He was amazed to find the skill and creativity with the artist(s) of this piece. His views on video games are now changed forever. Thanks for making this piece. Its more than a song, it is the buding of a new genre in which music (not just VG) remixing / interpreting can grow into.

P.S. he still won't pay for xbox live tho.
