  1. Personally I prefer it that way.

The Hero/Princess lovelife is quite Cliche and overused.Alot.

I actually would have liked this. In nearly all Zelda games the relationship between Link and Zelda has fallen flat, and frankly it's about damn time Link got some action for all his (bloodline's) hard work (a kiss? a long gaze? little fun in hyrule castle?). Although maybe it's because they have some other relationship...quoting the line from the beginning of LTTP:

    "Zelda is your..."

sister? mother? aunt? dog? Who knows.

  2. as well as the over-abundance of rupees (who would actually go back into a dungeon to pick up the ~100-150 rupees they left behind because they were full?) Although I got the chance to use up all my rupees and then revisit the mini-dungeons I had raided to pick up hundreds of rupees apiece later on (who can resist a face that round?)

Ok game. If I have 99 rupees left to fill my bag, and I find a 100 rupee, then ASK ME if I want to take it or not rather than just leaving it!!! Got me grumbling a couple times ;)

  3. Best game ever, let alone best Zelda. Ocarina has been dethroned.

Hmm..I'm going to have to disagree (and this likely will be debated to no end). It is the best Zelda ever, but I feel Zelda 64 to still be the best game ever made. Twilight Princess is evolutionary, wheras OOT was revolutionary. This is evident by TPs use of the locations, music, and gameplay from OOT. Another example is Tetris vs Tetris Attack: Tetris Attack is simply a much better Tetris game, yet few will argue Tetris is one of the best games ever made. If one gives large weight (which I do) to the impact and mainstay of a game in the gaming industry, then I believe Zelda 64 slightly pulls ahead in the "best game ever" department.

  4. Response to complaints and stuff.
A diving minigame could mean anything. I was thinking like zelda 64 where you jump off the top of the waterfall and have a set time limit to collect rupies or something ;) You can revisit goat herding? I've gone back there dozens of times and the guy just keeps telling me to look after the kids ;). I'm glad you liked all of the music. I've gotten everything in the game except a couple pieces of heart. I agree the cave of ordeals was fun/difficult, but you can't really say the game wasn't easy just because of one difficult non-required side quest ;).
  5. You know what would make a cool wallpaper? If someone got a screen shot of the image of the Master Sword when it's put back.

You know what would be even better?

A wallpaper of Ganondorf standing there with a sword in his chest, and link and zelda looking at him. That was awesome.

Just finished the game. Definately great. The dungeon design was top notch and enemies well crafted. Lots of stuff to do and the fishing game alone makes the game buyable ;)

However beating it gives you the right to give your piece on the game's problems:

    1. Music was a mixed bag. Some themes were well done(zora, overworld), yet some sounded very MIDI. I enjoyed the final battle with Ganon in Zelda 64 music more than any song in this game. Crossing fingers next Zelda is orchestrated! ;)

    2. Game was simply too easy. Lost, what, 2 hearts against ALL FREAKING FOUR Ganon battles? Some bosses didn't even attack you ;)

    3. Note quite sure why some obvious minigames were left out. Where's my sumo wrestling for a piece of heart? Revisit of cow herding? More fishing prizes? Diving?

Anyway I think our high expectations for this game caused us to be more critical than we should be. I, however, know when a game is a masterpiece and this one is no exception.

  6. ok guys I need some help on catching the bugs in the Lanayru province aka Lake Hylia. There's one near the waterfall. It keeps movig around but that's not the problem. The problem is that it's on a higher level than I can get to.

Please help me and tell me if I wasn't clear enough.

Gale boomerang. Just target him and reel him in.

Also, is it me or did like, the 3rd temple boss never actually attack you. :|

  7. People at Nintendo really dropped the ball on the whole fishing thing.

The manual implies that once a bit "takes a nibble" it will says something, like "fish on". Everyone probably saw their bobs go underwater, but I had no idea this meant the fish had taken a nibble and I had to pull up. The manual really confuses the matter by telling you to "move your remote up and down" and showing a picture immediately after with the words "fish on." I guess we're too used to Nintendo helping us out when it was time to take some particular action in context.
  8. About time, I say. I cannot wait!

I hope Cosmo Canyon is covered well.

It's gonna be hard to compete with the sex that is this and this.

These projects always want me to replay the game they're for, except with the new music inserted. Sigh...memories of Knights of the Round + Mime hackness...

Anyways I have high hopes for this project. Thanks for taking your free time guys to do stuff like this!

  9. Hey Larry. Thanks for letting all of us at the Southern California meet up call in on your show. It was a blast! Expect pics from all of us and a video from analoq sooner or later. We'll be expecting the mp3 of this show soon as well.

There was a so-cal meetup and I missed it? damn. ;)

  10. This is definitely well arranged and thought out. As described before, mastering and sound quality is a slight problem. Also, as a fan of piano arrangements, it's hard for me not to claim that I would have liked to have heard this done on a real piano. This would give the song its own personality and make it feel less edgy.

Again though, good work and can't wait to hear more stuff from you, particularly with multiple instruments.

  11. Hey guys, the name is Jordan and I'm a 20 year old software engineer in San Luis Obispo, California, also going to school there (if anyone needs help with some programming assignments I would love nothing more than to help!!). Not much else to say other than I love music (anyone else a Hybrid fan I wonder?). I've worked on and completed a couple of emulators (gameboy color and nes) too, which I wish I had the time to clean up and release :)

At any rate I probably won't talk much but I'll try my best to contribute to these forums =]

  12. This mix is very enjoyable to listen to: the author did a very good job in overall composition. The thump beats towards the middle of the song and flute found later are so well executed that it helps offset the tendency to feel the song may be a little too repetitive. Love the Thomas Newman feel in this though (I'm a sucker for piano anyway!). The notes at 1:38 are very daring and deserves a certain amount of respect, regardless of whether or not some may feel it was out of place. However after many repeat listenings I feel the song as a whole benefits from it.

Again excellent work on this Adam and I hope to hear more from you soon.
