  1. One of my friends bought DBZ:BT2 for Wii, and surprisingly enough, it is pretty damn fun. It probably has the steepest learning curve for any fighter outside of Guilty Gear, but after you get over that, there is fun to be had.

And, also unexpectedly, the battle music is really nice.

ps i think it would be ironic if we were made of iron :3

  2. Just yesterday I saw two PS3s at Best Buy. I almost picked one up, but then I came to my senses. With a new semester starting in little over a week, it would be entirely irresponsible of me to blow $600 on a console I wouldn't have time to use.

Maybe in a month or so, after my savings recover from Christmas.

  3. Also, a lot of the PSP games can be found for discounted prices now. Megaman Powered Up & Maverick Hunter X (I have this one) for $20, and X-Men Legends II, Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, Capcom Classics Remixed and Gradius Collection for $10, all at the Toys 'R Us clearance now.

Do you know when this sale ends? I couldn't find any information on their website.

  4. As one who hasn't seen the Blues Bros in it's entirety, I think I'm missing the God reference too.

At a number of point through the movie, they both say that they're on a mission from god, as they are trying to raise money to save the catholic orphanage they grew-up in.

So they drive a car through a mall and get arrested?

No, they drive through a mall in order to avoid being arrested.

  5. So I did some investigating. A while back someone had a problem with plastic being loose by the GBA slot right? And as did I. Well, my black DS Lite has the same problem. Well, it's not a problem because every DS Lite is like that.

At work I work in the back, and I send off returns back to the vendor. There were 2 white DS Lites(one was nasty, ick, the kid probably never washed his hands). I checked the plastic above the GBA slot and the plastic was able to be pulled back on both.

I think I saw some site listing this as a defect when it's just supposed to be like that.

Just felt like throwing that out :P I think I'll buy Blue Rescue Team tonight since we still haven't gotten any Megaman ZX in.

Well, that's good to know. I thought I kept getting defective ones.

  6. I'll likely get a PS3 around this time next year, when some more interesting games become available. As it is, I don't think I could afford both this and a Wii without some major sacrifices. I can wait.

And really, I don't think it would enjoyable divvying up my time between two new consoles. But damn, does MGS4 look enticing.

  7. So, I got my hands on Mega Man ZX and holy shit it's awesome. Mega Man fans shouldn't be disappointed.

I've been looking forward to this game for months. I should pick it up this weekend.

Does it explain the unresolved issues at the end of Zero 4, by any chance?

  8. You can't turn fast enough, which would be remedied if you could tilt your ship on it's side like in previous games but you can't...

That's about the only problem I had with it. It's still an enjoyable game, though.

  9. I also prefer the on rails levels, but a few free range bosses would be okay. So would the Landmaster, as long as they keep it on rails and don't overuse it. I just don't want any of that on foot crap. Unless they somehow make it unbelievably good, which isn't likely to happen.

I like how they gave you multiple ships to pilot. I hope they retain that in future versions. Playing as Wolf is great fun.

Not to take topic away from the DS, but it seems like the on-foot stuff could be more fun if it were implimented into a Starfox for Wii than it was on GC, since you'd be able to use the wiimote for aiming and whatnot. Personally, I think that'd make those parts more fun. The Landmaster on the otherhand, I dunno...it was really clunky to begin with. I didn't like it at all.

I thought a little about that. I imagine the on foot stuff would probably work somewhat similar to Battalion Wars 2.

I just hope they go back to the Gamecube art style. I liked that a lot. The current art style works for the DS, but I think it would be kind of silly for a console Star Fox. Same with the gibberish voices.

But man, these endings are hilarious. Ending 9 had me laughing for a good couple of minutes. Too bad we'll never find out which is the real one until a sequel gets released, at least according to this interview.

  11. I am pleasantly surprised with Star Fox Command. The controls are very manageable, though you wouldn't think so at first. Barrel-rolling is a trifle annoying, but only because it draws energy from the boost gauge. Otherwise, I can pull it off pretty much at will. I still think the game would benefit from a traditional control scheme, but it is bearable. The graphics are quite excellent, as is the music. I don't know about the story yet, as I haven't gotten very far.

We'll see how I like it when I've played more, but for now it gets my approval.

  12. Wait, you're saying keep the GBA slot piece when sending it in? Why?

Because they don't send you a replacement piece. At least they didn't for me.

Did they send you just a DS Lite? Or one new in the box?

If it wasn't new in the box, how do you know it wasn't just yours but fixed? :P

They just sent the system. The invoice listed it as a new system, the serial number was different, and all the system settings were erased.
