After first signing up almost 8 years ago, I present my first WIP: First Upload: Listen EDIT Finished Arrangement: Listen NOTE: I have taken liberties with the original tunes with regard to their key signature, not to mention actual notes themselves, the Lost Woods theme is a good example of this. I can recall another mix doing this to great effect. My intention was to make a Bollywood-like song, but as I went forward, all of these OoT tunes seemed to fit. UPDATE: Latest version: Original post: Hi, lurker noob here. I'm trying to write a remix of the Song of Healing for the piano. I'm still in the arrangement stage, so no production etc. concerns yet. I've gotten it down to something I think I could write down and really practice to perform and record, but I'm looking for other opinions before I do so. I was basically messing around for lack of something better to do. So the result is rather unfocused... but somewhere in the ballpark of a Sarah Mclaughlan chilledout/dubstep remix... with unrelated movie samples. It's a pretty lazy remix, I'll admit, but it still turned out kind of cool. I just finished this song with a friend today. It's one of the more pop songs we've created. It's fairly sparse, with only a sub bass, drums, piano, guitar, synth strings, and vocals. It's a kind of Alt Rock sort of sound. Hey, I'm posting this as finished even though I'm sure it has a lot of kinks due to this being my first attempt. But I basically want it treated as a WIP because I want all the help I can get. Was a lot of fun to make! I hope to use original samples in my next song.. no loops here but it is heavy on default FL samples.
