1. work-in-progress Rundas Battle Theme - Cover
Trevor M. Baker posted a topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Here is my remix for Rundas so far! I just need to add some guitar and some other things. This may change quite a bit. So far I have almost everything finished! The voice may not stay as it is. I may use a vocoder. Let me know what you Metroid Prime lovers think about it so far. August 3 Update Added guitars! August 4 Update Added Rundas' Voice! August 5 Update New Guitar parts -
1. work-in-progress Epic FootSteps, Caustic Version
Audiomancer posted a topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
So I'm sharing this again;) I've been fooling around with Cakewalk, FL Mobile, Caustic...and FL Studio Producer edition. I did all of the arranging for this tune in Caustic for Android. I tweaked the final sound (with my limited knowledge) with FL Studio 20. I have been fooling around with the different DAWS I just mentioned, and for some reason, so far, this is my favorite product. I don't get much time these days to fool with music. I like how this sounds, it reminds me of MOD files from back in the day. I wonder if this remix sounding this way would ever pass the panel...I believe chip tune -
UPDATED VERSION Hello again I just finished another DKC remix, this time putting a spin on the factory stage music. A welcome break from trying to perfect my Aquatic Ambience mix (mixing = argh!) The overall composition is fairly conservative though I did add a few personal touches here and there to keep it interesting. I experimented with sounds and FX and did my best balancing the mix. I actually think this turned out really well, which makes it a positive experience for once. Every time I come back for a listen I just feel satisfied and there is nothing

I shortened it, arranged a few things, complete overhaul on sound design and mixing. I intend to make a few small changes. Here's what it sounds like now https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/958152 And if anyone is curious, here is the one from last year (the one that got rejected) https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/880226 Cocks

So I came up with this wacky idea to have an actual theme song for Krazy Kremland. I managed to kobble together this "Its a Small World" version of "Welcome to Crocodile Isle" with a tad of the Gangplank Galleon thrown in. I also wrote partial lyrics to it that I had the idea of a "Nuka World" style chorus singing to it. Its a Little Isle of Talking Crocodiles Krem Land's really fun if you avoid the bees Rides have Broken tracks and there's a lot of bees Its a Little Isle of Crocodies Come down and Stay A While And you'll see

So yeah, this is something that has gone through quite a few permutations, and this is my latest attempt:) This was completely done on my phone, mostly during breaks at work, as I have very little time to do anything musical at all at home...I have a toddler;) Most of this was done with Fruit Loops Mobile, with an excerpt from Caustic...the vocoder part. I did a quick and dirty master with the Caustic mastering app. I appreciate the feedback the judges have given through this process...and I have tried to apply their critiques. High pass filter set low frequency, so cool. I

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-oNix9r7icrR4UB15Pfcbm13SbUoyQVz/view?usp=sharing Goron City from Zelda OoT/TP. Collaborating with @ffmusic dj on production. In a sense, this is a tribute to the historical contributions of black musicians, and an exploration of the history of the banjo. It uses a fretless gourd banjo, a standard fretted banjo, and a bluesy acoustic guitar with a bronze slide. Still super-rough as far as production. Levels, EQ, FX, etc have not been addressed at all yet

This is a labor of love. With each track I try to capture some of what I perceived to be the intent of the original tracks. From the militaristic-bureaucratic bustle of UNATCO, to the windy quiet of Liberty Island, to the blast of chopping wind as a helicopter takes JC to his destination. The goal is to stay as true to the original as possible, but with some modern flair where technology is more capable now. Long way to go, but some of the tracks so far: UNATCO Theme: https://soundcloud.com/atrin-assa/unatco-orchestral-prominent-root?in=atrin-assa/sets/deus-ex-definitive-orc

So I probably butchered it. But I sure as hell had fun experimenting, and I think it's better than my 2008 attempt. Probably could use beefing up on sample qualities, minor E/Q tweaks...and the entire first minute is sort of up in the air. Depends. Any feedbacks?

Gruntilda's known for hosting gameshows so...I arranged the main lair theme in the style of the jeopardy theme. Half of me just did this as a joke and the other half wants to make this legit. What do you think? and YES I built that puppet.

I had a choco-boat load of fun crafting this remix! Both of the original OSTs are extremely relaxed and lazy, which is why I wanted to up the tempo in this dance remix. I'm not looking for any mod feedback. Just wanted to share for anyone willing to listen. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KDBJMCXIEATSqdswefry6fCHrzA0TOQZ/view?usp=sharing Spekkio's Theme, done as an old time back porch fiddle/banjo tune. Heavily inspired by "Soldier's Joy," another classic fiddle tune (in fact I even snuck in the Soldier's Joy melody in a few parts). @XPRTNovice on acoustic guitar, @MagiNinjA on fiddle, and me on clawhammer banjo! REQUEST: please listen to at least 30 seconds of the track to increase the play counter. This way I can tell someone has actually listened to it, rather than being left wondering why this post has so many views that doesn't result in more plays. I've been working on a new remix for some time and think its about ready for a first feedback round. I've created an alternative version of Aquatic Ambience (Donkey Kong Country) to go with the polluted version of the underwater stage. It includes bits from Kremlantis Submerged from Donkey Kong Land and I wrote an original ending to it. I wen

1. work-in-progress Zelda 2 - Thrashin' the Temple
SoleParadigm posted a topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
I submitted this track back in October 2019 and the judges asked me to resubmit due to hot mixing and some realism issues with the orchestra section of this track. So far I remixed all the instruments and reamped the bass to be less overbearing. But the main worry I've had is that, while the judges heard clipping and pumping, I did not hear any clipping or pumping on my end during playback. But still, I dropped all my levels and adjusted the limiter on the master track. I'm told no more than -4db of attenuation is recommended so I've adjusted for that. But that also makes the track quieter tha -
So this is something I just started. It's made using Caustic, an Android app on my phone. This is just the beginning of it. The sound of it is a little inspired by Raiden's Mortal Kombat theme, so I made a cheeky name up for the tune. Thanks for the listen! Hi all, Thought I'd drop this here for some honest feedback. Its based on an older version that I uploaded to the site like 2-3 years ago and its changed pretty drastically since then. However, it's still very much a work in progress at this stage due to the change in direction. Thought I'd also drop a few musical references from other tracks in the OST...so think of it like a game trying to spot them I guess Cheers in advance for anyone who spares the time to have a listen!

In my mission to take game remixing to ludicrous heights, I arranged the DK Rap into an italian opera. This is a DEMO vocal , I need to find a opera vocalist to sing the final version. I'm also in need of a mixer. I've also included the instrumental. I would like feedback on arrangement, and on how decent the VSTs I'm using sound. They are not mixed good since I'm clueless with that. I used Spitfire Labs for the strings and the rest are free soundfonts. Arrangement wise I think it sounds good, but open to suggestions. Would you consider it OCRemix Worthy? I also plan to do a puppet music vid
