  1. Hello all! Been coming here for years lurking about and finally decided to get back into music after finding some 7 year old mixes on a USB drive Whipped this together pretty quickly and it's a fair bit conservative but I like making the old songs that are more like a remaster with few liberties. Always liked the end music of Mario 2 so I chose that one to get my feet wet again! Feedback always welcome!!! Edit: I did the pads in the intro and bass with drums/percussion throughout. Left the main melody but slowed the tempo to something where I liked it Kinda simpl
  2. Here's a little duet I did with myself. Most of it is improvised on the spot, everything besides the harmony and theme of course. I'm not so sure about the audio quality. It sounds decent, but also not spectacular. Same with the mixing. Any opinions on this? Original tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dhzm7HJiMA&t=92s Thank yooouuuu!
  3. This is a Tribute Album to FFVI Music, featuring all the songs from the Original Soundtracks, rearranged and interpreted by 71 musicians from the Pixel Mixers Community! 58 songs, for 3h 25min of music This album features 3 “discs” called “Esper“, “Super Sanity” and “World’s Requiem“. We decided to share the songs in a way to create some “narrative arcs” between the songs, so the order is different from the OST. If you want a taste of our album before downloading, here is a trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5VFEbGCy-o Or if you want to learn more about it, here
  4. Just had some fun with FLStudio, if you'll enjoy - it will be good. Game list: 1. Contra Hard Corps choose player 00:00 2. Contra Hard Corps train boss 00:27 3. Zero tolerance level 2 01:24 4. Jackal level 2 02:23 5. ODB special - Dune and the Arrakis dope 03:22 6. Terminator 2 stage 4 04:07
  5. just couldn't resist, so I took my remix from 2003 and added filter effects with ableton and a second and third melody-track (using the super-amazing Rayblaster VST) (added an old video of a landscape I built in cryengine sandbox years ago) remix (well, 2 remixes actually) can be heard here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svPV9-hPFe0
  6. Hey everyone! I just completed this solo piano arrangement of "Flowers Blooming in the Church" from Final Fantasy VII and I thought you guys might enjoy it. I had seen a handful of piano arrangements of this piece, but overall this version of Aerith's theme doesn't get the attention it deserves. For my arrangement, I really wanted to push that tragic and expressive side of this piece, while staying true to the original tune. I've also included a link to the sheet music download in the Youtube video description. Hope you guys enjoy and have a wonderful weekend!
  7. Here's my remix of Level 3-2 from Turrican 1. I've been listening a lot to the original track the last few days and I couldn't get it out of my head. I had to create a remix... I wasn't sure with my choice of instruments at first but I'm really happy how they sound now (after some tweaks and library surfing). I tried to recreate the original bass instrument sound but this is as close as I got and I think it fits in very well into the general style of the remix. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy this remix: Btw. I'm not sure which genre this remix fits in. I would say it's some sort of
  8. Hey! I'm currently learning how to record and mix for my YouTube channel. It's been a long process but I'm slowly getting there. Here's is Yooka Laylee's Tropic Trials. Please give me any feedback you can on the music or even the video quality if you want.
  9. Super Mario fans! Check out the vocal version of “New Donk City” from Super Mario Odyssey! The city that never leaps so a funky groove fits the tune! Lets get lit in New Donk City! Enjoy! The instrument I found from Soundcloud, but I decided to put lyrics on it.
  10. Hey guys! It's been ages since I've posted here, mainly because I haven't worked on a remix in quite a while. I'm happy to say that's changed today! I just finished a remix of Aquatic Ruin Zone from Sonic 2! Now, keep in mind this is a very conservative remix with some parts that are identical to the original, but I extended certain bars and added a little bit of a twist as the song progresses (and then repeats a couple of times). The reason is because this at first was just going to be a complete remake. And it was originally created entirely by ear, every drum hit and every note. T
  11. I present to you my latest creation, it comes straight from the depths of hell I used three different guitar synths to get the sound right, my goal was to match the tone of the original midi video game music as closely as possible, within reason. I know that the guitars doesn't sound all too realistic, but I still think the track sounds pretty good, have a listen and see for yourselves.
  12. Hi guys, I did a remix of shamburger from age of empire 2 and I wanted to have some feedback on this track. I hope you'll like it!
  13. I know people are usually averse to VG covers with vocals, but for this one I parodied a song that's supposed to have lyrics while incorporating a VG track. Do you think it worked out? Originals:
  14. Hi guys! I recently finished a cover of Bowser highway showdown from Super mario 3D world, tell me what you think about this remix. It's important to mention that I played all the guitars on this track.
  15. Hi! First post here, and also my first track in way over 15 years. The classic forest theme from Secret of Mana. Hope you'll like it!
  16. I finished my second Secret of Mana song. This time I would like to get some feedback before I release it anywhere. https://instaud.io/private/be25f112302535ffdea542e00aea6e732ffcf541 Instruments played by myself besides the vocals are guitar, bass, and concertina. The rest is programmed. I mastered it to -14 LUFS and there is no chance to convince me to kill any of the dynamics. Here are the lyrics for the song: Nightingale Sing to me Stories of Celebra- tions and of People whose Dreams came to life Oh – you’re not alone – in this world Oh – step o
  17. Recently completed my first mixtape where I remixed a number of my favorite tracks from Chrono Trigger. Probably best categorized as Vaportrap/Lofi Hip Hop [ChronoWave] ¦ [クロノ波 ]
  18. REDUKED: Duke Nukem OST Remixed. Deluxe Edition. Hi everyone! it's been a while since I posted something here, but I'm glad to announce my new remix album: REDUKED. Deluxe Edition. REDUKED is a electronic musical journey through Duke Nukem Universe. One track from the album has been featured here. Now I'm releasing the whole thing as a double album with 10 tracks each. DOWNLOAD Specifications: 24 BIT Stereo 48,000Hz Remasterized tracks. Normalized to -13 LUFS DB to prevent ear fatigue. I'm not asking any specific price for download, because I'm not
  19. Hey everyone. I recently completed work on a short medley from The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening centering around Mabe Village, Inside the Houses and Richard's VIlla. This game has always been near and dear to my heart, so I wanted to put my own take on some of my favorite tunes from the game. I'm using this video as the starting point for a 3 part series of medley arrangements featuring music from Link's Awakening. Hope you guys enjoy this and have a wonderful weekend.
  20. Title: Placeholder Source: Donkey Kong Country 1 - Life in the Mines Link to the Track (NEW VERSION): https://clyp.it/nlwjlbui Link to the Track (First WIP): Description: I haven't submitted anything on OCR in a while, but this track made me feel I should do it. A reimagination of the original in a rock/metal style. I hope you like it! Any feedback is greatly appreciated. EDIT BY TAUCER: here's the source:
  21. and a little bit of a medley from Zelda II - hope your ears like it!
  22. “Tetris Love” takes the Tetris Theme and turns it into a catchy, bouncy, and banging dance track. Lyrically, this song compares a beautiful woman to the game of Tetris. The beat then turns into a dance mix of vocal chops and samples. The male vocals are mine. The true perfect piece to complete your Tetris Love! Hopefully I can submit this!
  23. So I recently blitzed through Xenoblade Chronicles 2, which has an awesome soundtrack. Like seriously even if you don't have an interest in the game I highly recommend checking it out. After almost 100 hours in the game, I felt it was time to try my hand at a remix. This is a remix of the music that plays in one of the towns at night. "Don't Forget Me" has become something of a meme in Xenoblade/other gaming circles. Anyone who's played the game will know what I mean Original song: Remix: Anyways, probably not submiss
