  1. A remake of Ordon Ranch from Twilight Princess, with just a touch of Zelda's theme in the middle to make it special.
  2. Hi everyone! Here's the latest arrangement - Tal Tal Heights from The Legend of Zelda - Link's Awakening. In this piece I wanted to steadily increase the intensity of the Orchestration from quiet strings in the beginning, to full heroic Orchestra by the end. DISCLAIMER: Original music is by Ryo Nagamatsu, visuals are in-game play.
  3. hi after the years, I decided to go back to the roots and returned from Synesthesics to Mellow Sonic. The nostalgia factor was just too huge. :p ok next part of ratchet remixes now from gladiator/deadlocked, the valix belt. enjoy
  4. A wave of Zelda nostalgia has come over me recently and I felt compelled to remix the Title theme of Zelda: OoT. The first melody you hear in the game after turning it on is gorgeous and I had to pay tribute with this lofi/hip hop inspired cover/remix. I had a lot of fun making it and plan to do more Zelda remixes in the future. I hope you enjoy it!
  5. Hi everyone! Here's a new piece just completed - an Orchestral Prelude of the Main Themes from Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Super Smash Bros. Brawl, combined into one single arrangement. The physical, combative and martial element as well as the hype these fantastic games produce, by virtue of being as close to the ultimate crossover as one can get, are just ideal for Orchestral arrangements, and can be manipulated to convey any and every emotion under the sun. The competitive atmosphere is what I have tried to capture in this arrangement, and hope I have done that justice! from Super Smash Bros Ultimate by Hideki Sakamoto. If ever they play music at a SSB eSporting event, I hope they choose this, as it was written with that in mind! Original Music by Hideki Sakamoto, visuals are in-game cutscenes. Enjoy!
  6. Was fun! Gauntlet Dark Legacy is my favorite ost. But, I realized I never actually listened to the original before. So, I tried to do a kinda fusion of the two styles into the title theme. Any excuse to put people screaming and random bat noises into a track I guess
  7. The source song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nL-c6SuyG8A&t My remix - Runic Woods: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13312Si7XZ8ZVzajqw5-aWz0a_CwUbuwz/view
  8. Jill and I are both big fans of Aeralie's work, particularly on the Ori series, and we've always wanted to collaborate with her... so we did! We've been arranging Final Fantasy 7 for over a decade now (our first remix together was Deliverance of the Heart all the way back in 2007) but it's just such a good soundtrack we keep coming back to it. I wanted to keep the production mostly out of the way here, since with two strong (and complementary) voices there wouldn't be enough room for too much underlying stuff. So it's basically all Omnisphere with some careful mixing to make sure all the background vocal layers and leads could sit properly, along with precisely sculpted reverb... We did consider having more percussion too but I think it would have ultimately taken away from the beauty of the themes themselves. Keeping it atmospheric and melodic seemed like the way to go. Enjoy!
  9. Chrono Trigger Mashup Hey everyone. New to the community. Thought I'd share my remix with you all. Let me know what you think!
  10. Hi everybody! Just wanted to share with you guys the Final Fantasy Overture that's just premiered on YouTube. It's for a full-scale Orchestra that consists of over a dozen pieces from 9 different FF games, all written by the great Nobuo Uematsu. This year, I conducted a performance (in part) of The Creation of Hyrule at MAGFest, and in the volunteer Orchestra were members of the Triforce and Videri String Quartets. As a vote of thanks, I constructed this Overture for String Octet, but then thought about Orchestrating it for a Full Orchestra. This is that full Orchestra Version, accompanied by a video of my own making. Please enjoy! DISCLAIMER: Music is by Nobuo Uematsu and Yoko Shimomura, all visuals are of in-game footage/cutscenes.
  11. Instead of Creating a new thread for every mix, I'll take a page out of Eluukkanen's book (and all who've done this before them) and start posting remixes to a single thread...instead of making a new thread everytime. So here we have a Samurai Shodown remix this time around that do hope you all enjoy.
  12. Hey all, So a couple of months ago, the Pixel Mixers started their own Final Fantasy VII homage project. Thanks to COVID and life however, things fell far behind than expected. However, happy to say that we finally were able to release the project yesterday! This track is my contribution to that project. While I don't think the track would clear an OCR review based on how it's structured, I thought that you might all still find it enjoyable. So... ENJOY! You can find the full download to the project in the video description.
  13. I finished an arrangement of the Motavia theme from Phantasy Star. It has a bit of an 80s feel to it.
  14. ratchet & clank remixes continues now from up your arsenal.. one of my favorites soundtrack enjoy a new obani gemini pollux
  15. Here's my remake of the Hateno Village theme from BotW, the version played during the night. The original is just a little bit slower...I sped it up a tad to keep it under 4 minutes. I still think it captures a slower/softer feeling than the original. Just like my Hateno Day version, I added in the Kakariko Village theme and Zelda Theme the second time around, both which fit in pretty well with the original. I used some of the game ambience. Hope you enjoy! Constructive criticism welcome.
  16. Hey everyone, this is my first post here! I made a remix to Sonic & Knuckles' Death Egg Zone. I am a bassist first, and keyboardist second. I really enjoyed playing the bass line to this song in a more funkified manner, and I was curious if I could funk-up the whole song. To be honest, I almost gave up on this project because I didn't feel I had the creativity to make it possible, then after playing around with new ideas I found a sound that I liked and kept it going from there. I REALLY want to grow as a videogame remixer, and I'd love any critical feedback that you can think of. If you have none, I'd value if you mentioned what you enjoy instead! Here is the original song for those who haven't heard it before: Here is my remix:
  17. Simple EDMish/electronic? arrangement of Sky Sanctuary Zone I made! Trying to learn to mix better. Hope you enjoy!
  18. The Savage Land theme has always been one of my favorite video game music compositions, most likely because of its passing similarities to Isao Abe's better known Sagat theme from Street Fighter II. I tried my hand at reinterpreting the song with a bit of a grunge flavor by way of an aggressive drum sequence reminiscent of something Dave Grohl would have played for a Nirvana song. Though it softens the grit of the song, I retained the orchestral elements from the original composition because I believe it gives the piece an almost cinematic quality. Song Title: "Berserker Rage" (Wolverine Theme Remix) Originally Composed By: Isao Abe Arranged and Performed By: The Native Dialect BPM: 149 Time Signature: 4/4 Style: Grunge/Acid Jazz Hardware: iMac, Ibanez Talmon Software: GarageBand, Audacity Berserker Rage Source
