  1. I made this orchestral remake of the ruins level (Birabuto kingdom) from the classic gameboy game Super Mario Land. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4LgxGAGI8qY
  2. I used the original composition and re-orchestrated it from the ground up with strings and Celtic instruments. Celtic instruments are from the Celtic Era virtual instrument library. A very sad song and a fan favorite. I would have loved to see this track done by Kenji Ito on Final Fantasy IV - Celtic Moon. My version is a fan made remix.
  3. I've only ever dabbled in doing music and remixing and figured with all the COVID and quarantine stuff it would a good time to put actual effort into learning. This is the first thing I've managed to complete start to finish! Feedback is appreciated
  4. I have been itching to work on another arrangement for what feels like an eternity, thankfully now that I'm finishing up with Uni I've finally had the time! Here's an orchestral arrangement of the opening music to Undertale; Once Upon a Time. The samples used are predominately from Spitfire's BBCSO, as well as Heavyocity's Forzo for brass, VI Labs Ravenscroft 275 Piano, Spitfire LABS music box, and for percussion I used a mix of Albion One and HZ Percussion. I'd love to know what you think and of course any critique is always welcome
  5. Hey guys! This is an arrangement for Piano of "Zanarkand" from Final Fantasy X by Nobuo Uematsu. Another meditative/contemplative piece, I wanted to keep the simplicity of the original in the first half, but then, decided to explore some emotional effect in the second rendition of the piece with a cross-rhythm in the left hand. Disclaimer: Original music is by Nobuo Uematsu, visuals are in-game footage.
  6. Back with another Rock Arrangement. Finally getting the drums to sit a little better in the mix. Still not quite satisfied though. Any thoughts on improving the mix/master will be appreciated. Thank you.
  7. About the remix: This is a remix of "Quiet and Falling" from Celeste. It's the song from the Mirror Temple. I had a lot of fun doing this one! The original is pretty cold and surreal, the B-side is downright funky, so I decided to take this in a direction different to the songs in the game. I also brought back an old pseudonym for the remix. FL Studio 20 was used for both the song and the visualization on YouTube (via ZGameEditor Visualizer.) I incorporated a lot of "found sounds" - metal sheets, keys on a desk, all sorts of fun improvised percussion. The synthwork is Sytrus and Vanguard. The orchestral sounds came from Nexus. Is it a good candidate? Thanks for listening~
  8. I finished a cover of Requiem from Alundra. It goes through 2 passes and the first pass is really close to the original.
  9. Hiya everyone! This is an arrangement for full Orchestra and Chorus centring on Mipha from Legend of Zelda - Breath of The Wild. This piece explores the intimate and tragic connection between Link and Mipha, the Zora's Champion. Mipha is linked unavoidably with the Divine Beast Vah Ruta by virtue of being the Zora Champion and along with the other Champions and Divine Beasts, assists Link in his journey to bring down the Calamity Ganon once and for all. The intimate past between Link and Mipha was cut short by Mipha's death at the hands of Waterblight Ganon, and upon the defeat of the latter, Mipha greets Link once more and blesses him with her Grace. Disclaimer - Original music is by Manuka Kataoka. Visuals are original in-game footage.
  10. Hello, It's the 30th Anniversary of StarTropics!!! (Released in 1990) I thought this would be fun to remix the soundtrack and put something out there for fans of the game during this big year. Some of the remixes sound similar to the originals and others sound pretty out there. This was made with Super Nintendo soundfonts and Super Audio Cart as well some reverb, delay and other dynamics for listening purposes. I was inspired to make this after enthusiastic support from the StarTropics speedrunning community. Took me 4 months to make and hope you enjoy some of these remixes! 11. Hi everyone ! This one is pretty faithful to the original with few additions. And I finally found the motivation to make my own preset on the Minilogue
  12. Made Using FM Composer. Criticism is welcome. https://youtu.be/SrGSUKi4Dfc
  13. Hi Everybody! Here's a new piece; quite a popular piece from Link's Awakening, so Idunno how this version might be received. I was going for a "filmscore-esque" arrangement in this piece, and the use of the strings and brass playing the melody I think went very well.
  14. This is my second remix from the soundtrack to Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge, and while every piece of music composed for that game is absolutely brilliant, there is no question that Gambit's stage theme is the most popular of all the tracks. My approach to this remix can be summed up with a single word: "big." I wanted the sound to be big, and the arrangement to feel big, so the drums and synths are fat, the guitars distorted, and the organ blazing. This is the second iteration of my remix, as I was ultimately unsatisfied with my first take. The changes were minimal, but important enough to me that I had to make them. - The guitar riff at 1:22 was originally recorded in Drop D. I rerecorded it in Drop C - Added a new guitar solo starting at 2:07 - Remastered the mix to increase both the treble and the bass - Sped up the tempo by 1% Song Title: "The Cajun Connection" (Gambit Theme Remix) Originally Composed By: Tim Follin and Geoff Follin Arranged and Performed By: The Native Dialect BPM: 128 Style: Funk Hardware: Ibanez Talmon, iMac Software: GarageBand, Zebra2, Audacity The Cajun Connection Source: Gambit's Stage
  15. Hi there fellow video game music fans. I just released my new version of this epic theme from Strikers 1945 II. Devil's Tower is going to be hot... The original song:
  16. re-working my 2nd remix of foregone destruction (2016) i didn't like it that much the previous mix and i added more details from the original. my first remix was published in 2012 under mellow sonic.
  17. Ys Origin Opening Remix. If you like it, support us to continue making, just push the subs button. Thank you^ Hope you like it... Other source: https://dw-gallery.blogspot.com/
  18. https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/936547 I added a little bit of extra stuff just to fill the sound space. Tons of MIDI editing done as well. I used all Sonic 3 sound driver instruments here, but opted for 80s style drum samples because I thought they would sound better.
  19. Hey everyone! Here is a newly uploaded video of another arrangement I've made - A Secret of Mana Fantasia for full Orchestra taken from the Secret of Mana/Seiken Densetsu Soundtrack by Hiroki Kikuta. Secret of Mana was originally made for the SNES but has since enjoyed a remake. The music in this Fantasia include "Fear of the Heavens", "Into the thick of things", "a Wish", and "Fly into the Unknown". The pieces linked very well together in order to contrast the many atmospheres and emotions the game has in the course of the adventures it holds. Disclaimer: Original music is by Hiroki Kikuta, visuals are screenshots of in-game footage and artwork.
  20. Yo! I made new orchestral arrangement for this Deep Castle theme from Mario & Luigi series. The original composition is beautiful and calm. While keeping the same feeling, I also transformed it a little more epic when the drums come in. The original:
  21. Hi, Here is a piano arrangement of Final Fantasy 8 - Spy. Style a little jazzy, with rhythm more marked than my usual works. And a lot a dissonances. NEW VERSION : Original here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txs-MnMiP2w I was in difficulty to keep the tempo. I've for this corrected some mistakes. I think it can't be heard, I hope so Any feedbacks is welcome !
