  3. Between Heaven and Earth (Youtube) I wanted to go for that emotional epic sound, hope you guys enjoy it!
  4. Hi everyone ! Here's my last cover. This track is featured in the last Pixel Mixers album, Beyond The Mist and it's a mash-up between Qu's Marsh from the FFIX OST and A Solitary Reign from the band Amenra. Enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mpx8AihWIHk
  5. Hey folks, there's a contest being held on a subreddit for covers of battle themes for games, so I decided to throw my lot in with this piece. Please enjoy!
  6. Hello! I just finished my new Undertale - Another Medium arrangement and published it on YouTube: It sticks to the source quite a lot, but I wanted to make it that way. I had some long adjustments with french horn, but I think it went pretty close to where it sounds at least decent. What do you think about it (too loud, too quiet, narrow, wide etc.)? And overall, what do you think about the balance of all instruments and atmosphere? Any feedback is welcome! Thanks for listening!
  7. My first attempt at remixing something from JSR, hope you'll like it! !
  8. Hey there! I recently completed this arrangement of the 7AM theme from the original Animal Crossing that I thought I would share. It was interesting process to adapt this to live instruments and add some more jazzy elements to the tune, as well as expand on the drums to make things a bit more interesting. Hope you guys enjoy it!
  9. My goal in creating this arrangement was to produce something soft in texture, and moderately more upbeat than the source material. I incorporated wah wah guitar, a simpler drum pattern, finger style bass, a koto, and a tremolo synth. The end result is something faithful to the motifs of the original composition, but divergent from its more aggressive aspects (e.g. the sub bass, and layered drum pattern). For those of you that are curious, the song title, "hayai kaze," means "swift wind" in Japanese. When I think of a ninja running through the night, I think of the movement of a swift wind, so it seemed fitting as a title for Ibuki's theme. I'm currently waiting on the judge's panel to make a decision about a Jazzy NYC remix I submitted last year, but once I get word on that mix, I'll be submitting this one next. Feedback is of course welcome. Song Title: "Hayai Kaze" (Twilight Remix) Originally Composed By: Hideki Okugawa Arranged and Performed By: The Native Dialect BPM: 120 Style: Smooth Jazz Hardware: iMac Software: GarageBand, Audacity "Hayai Kaze" (Twilight Remix) Source:
  10. https://soundcloud.com/coeurlamari/smooth-buster-remix-of-rude-buster-from-deltarune Hey all, I finished a funky little remix of this already extremely funky bop and I'd welcome some thoughts on it. Not sure if it's good enough for OCR so I don't mind if anyone really takes it seriously that way or not, but it was sure fun to make and I hope it's an enjoyable listen. I did some different stuff chords-wise than the original, tried to do my own thing in parts to really make it my own, and I also didn't make every note a perfect 1:1 cover, so hopefully my choices weren't too offensive.
  11. Another NES Remix i've made. This one it's from "Batman - Return of the Joker" for NES console. There are great tunes on that little game. Hope you enjoy it! Drums were made on "Guitar Pro 5" and edited on "Fruity Loops 7" with VST "EZDrummer MetalHeads" Guitars were recorded on "Vegas 11" trough BOSS GT10 pedalboard. Guidorch Original Theme Song: Batman - Return of the Joker (Stage 1 to 6) Remix Cover: Batman - Return of the Guidorch
  12. Most Sagat remixes are downtempo, heavily jazz influenced, or otherwise arranged to be suitable for relaxation; my approach to Sagat's theme was quite the opposite. I drew most of my influence from the drop d guitar rhythm found in the Street Fighter Alpha 2 arrangement, while keeping to the structure of the SNES version from Street Fighter II: The World Warrior. The end result is what I consider to be an aggressive, yet regal take on Sagat's iconic theme. The time signature for this piece is 11/8, just like the original, and let me tell you, it made creating this remix quite a challenge, especially playing the guitar (0_0) I chose to base my remix on the SNES version because I consider it to be the best version of the theme. The use of a droning violin on the SNES, which is absent from the CPS1 rendition, gives the composition a better texture, and in my mind, a sense of grandeur befitting of Sagat. Other useful information can be found below. I've no plans to submit this to the judges, because I have no plans to lengthen the piece, or invent new measures in 11/8. Covering the song was challenging enough for my meager abilities lol. Oh, and just in case any of you are curious about the meaning of my remix title, Ayuthaya is the real world location of Sagat's stage from Street Fighter II. Ayutthaya was an ancient kingdom that sat where Thailand is today. In Sagat's stage, you can see the reclining Buddha of the Ayutthaya ruins, as well as a few ancient temples. At its height, the Ayutthaya Kingdom had many conflicts with the neighboring Kingdom of Burma. One famous folktale relating to their conflicts is about the warrior Nai Khanomtom, a master of Muay. Khanomtom and a few of his fellow fighters were captured by the Burmese, and challenged to a duel to prove that Burmese fighters were superior. Khanomtom chose to represent his friends, and Ayutthaya, successfully defeating every fighter the Burmese had. In the end, Khanomtom won the respect of the Burmese, and thus grew the legend of Muay Boran, and the might of Ayutthaya. So by choosing the title "The Tiger of Ayutthaya" it is my goal to connect Sagat, and his music, to the greater folklore of Thailand, and Muay Thai. Song Title: "The Tiger or Ayutthaya" (Sagat Theme Remix) Originally Composed By: Isao Abe Arranged and Performed By: The Native Dialect BPM: 105 Style: Rock Hardware: iMac, iRig, Ibanez Talmon Software: GarageBand, Audacity The Tiger of Ayyuthaya Source

  14. My remix and remake of Frappe Snowland from Mario Kart 64, mixed with Sherbet Land from Mario Kart Double Dash (the best Mario kart).
  15. Around a year ago i created a remix of a Turrican 1 track (which i posted here) which was followed by 2 other remixes from Turrican 2 (which I didn't posted here). Almost exactly 12 months later I started working on another Turrican Remix and today I present you the remix of one of my all time favourite game music tracks: Turrican's 2 Title Theme "The final Fight". (Original Track: https://chrishuelsbeck.bandcamp.com/track/the-final-fight-turrican-2) Like in my former Turrican Remixes, I wanted to capture the exact same mood and "style" of the original track. I made no changes to the composition, everything is basically just like the original except for the instruments and the sound quality. I wanted a remix that sounds like the original but just with modern "capabilities". Although I highly enjoyed Hülsbecks remixes featured in his Turrican Soundtrack Anthology, i didn't felt like it came from the Amiga for me and thats what i tried to archieve with my remix. I actually wanted to create a proper remix of this track for a long time and finally decided to do one. Although the track was quite exhausting to remix, i had a lot of fun with it and i'm quite happy how it turned out, it's definitively one of my favourite creations and is my personal tribute to one of the greatest composers of all time: Chris Hülsbeck. 16. My main influences while working on this arrangement were John Digweed and Crystal Waters, as this is a House music mix. In particular, the texture and rhythm of the bass line is inspired by Digweed's instrumental, "Heaven Scent," while the organ segment is inspired by Waters' signature song, "Gypsy Woman." Song Title: "The Red Cyclone" (Zangief Theme Remix) Originally Composed By: Yoko Shimomura BPM: 131 Style: House Hardware: iMac Software: GarageBand, Audacity The Red Cyclone Source Material: Zangief Theme (CPS1)
  17. A remix I made for the Pixel Mixers CV Tribute Album. Used the melody from CV2 Dracula's Castle theme and made a song. Complete with original lyrics!
  18. Hey everyone! I'm doing some finishing touches on a track that I've worked secretly on - it's a complex mash-up of every final battle song from the Final Fantasy series 4 - 9 (well, except for FF5's final boss, couldn't get it to work with the others for some reason...) - I definitely wanted to have y'all give it a listen before I go send it off to the panel! I was having a hard time blending all of the different orchestral & choral parts with my 8-bit style, but I think I got it down now. Give it a listen, tell me what you think! Quick note: I used the new OCR tool for mixing/mastering, I think it really helped bring this to fruition. I wish I had the old files for this, but I lost the original files for it while moving some of my hardware around, so whatev's. Hope y'all enjoy! Sources:
  19. What's up! I made a remix a few years ago. Decided to update it and upload it. Also made a custom visualizer!! Very proud of that one!! Though it's completed, I would still like some reviews if that's not a problem for you guys! Ps: everything I upload will go on youtube, mainly because that's where my channel is, but also because i make my own music visualizers!
  20. Hey all, check out this Half Life Metal Medley I made:
  21. I recently covered "Dance Through the Danger" from Shantae: Half-Genie Hero! I went for a mellow, acoustic treatment of the source. I sang, played the harp, hammered dulcimer, Irish bouzouki, percussion, and enlisted my husband for djembe and video editing. Hope you enjoy it!
  22. Finally after years of working on this, I've released it to the public. Mega Man V was always my favorite of the Game Boy games and I always loved the music, so I had to do it justice with these covers.
