Instrumental & Vocal Skills (Other)

  1. I have found a few midi files inside the folder of my copy of Dark Seed II and I decided to do a cover of a few songs. For this project I have used factory plugins on LMMS combined with Mega Drive and Super Nintendo soundfonts. While the soundfounts were used to give a creep vibe to the instruments, the factory plugins (with lots of post-processing) create the atmospheric, menacing soundscape on the background. My musical inspirations at the time were Lustmørd, the early works of Human League (Reproduction and Travelogue), Tangerine Dream and Akira Yamaoka's work on the first Silent Hill game. Have a nice day! Dark Seed II (1995) soundtrack originally composed by Mark Morgan. Artwork by H.R. Giger. Arranged by me.
  2. This is a remix of Cleyra's theme from Final Fantasy IX in an ethereal style. The original song is a short minimal piece, so I decided to expand upon it by adding a varied range of instruments, including a set of rhodes pianos. My influences include the works of Brian Eno on ambient music and drone soundscapes, the ethereal wave band Cocteau Twins and Thom Brennan's new age compositions. Cleyra's Settlement, originally composed by Nobuo Uematsu for Final Fantasy IX (Square, 2000). Arranged by me. Hope you enjoy!
  3. Just to be clear, this isn't supposed to be any kind of stand in for the Death Stranding OST nor is it a piece meant to make you think "Oh it's low roar inspired" - this one is more inspired by the feel of the game, especially exploration early on.
  4. This is the final copy of a song I made to practice the electric guitar with, both to practice the instrument, as well as to practice mixing. I practiced the guitar for over a year before reaching this point. I have more work on the way, but as it goes, music is a hobby I can only attend to on occasion. Let me know what you think!

  6. REDUKED: Duke Nukem OST Remixed. Deluxe Edition. Hi everyone! it's been a while since I posted something here, but I'm glad to announce my new remix album: REDUKED. Deluxe Edition. REDUKED is a electronic musical journey through Duke Nukem Universe. One track from the album has been featured here. Now I'm releasing the whole thing as a double album with 10 tracks each. DOWNLOAD Specifications: 24 BIT Stereo 48,000Hz Remasterized tracks. Normalized to -13 LUFS DB to prevent ear fatigue. I'm not asking any specific price for download, because I'm not the author of the original tracks (credits goes for Lee Jackson and Bobby Prince) Although any donations wouldn't hurt, especially to support future original music releases Thanks guys, for all the support and encouragement, I hope you enjoy it.
  7. Hello! Decided to finish an old ambient tune of mine Can you give me some feedback? https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/792258
  8. Hello, OC ReMix. So, here's my first contribution: an ambient arrangement I've made a little while ago. I'm not sure if I will try to submit it or anything, but your opinions are greatly appreciated, for I am still learning, after all. As for more info on the piece per se, it's based on Iudex Gundyr, from the Dark Souls 3's Original Soundtrack, and I made it with the mindset of it being played in the background while you explore the Untended Graves before testing your meddle against Champion Gundyr. I hope you like it.
  9. This might be the beginning of my first little own soundtrack I've composed within a few days. Actually this track is based on an exercise I did for myself to imrove in writing notes for chord progressions and where I tried to find out which chords and chord sequences harmonize well with each other. But then I was really in the mood to compose some additional melodies and it resulted in this little soundtrack. And of course I wanted to work with my brand-new great synthesizer collection Titan 2 which I really cherish. It contains over 12500 unique synthesizer presets of famous synthesizers from the 70s, 80s, 90s and the modern digital times. So, you can say I've bought a pretty melodic part of the human history in the form of a large, creative software. Although I haven't had listened to all synthesizer presets in Titan 2 (the package also contains all the synthesizers from Titan 1) I've already used two synthesizers from Titan 1 for this little composition. These are the really atmospheric digital voice pads and the pretty realistic sounding steel drums (was deeply impressed that it almost sounds like the acoustic version of some steel drums - was looking for such kind of stuff for estimated ages). For the voice pads I've also created some volume, panorama and high bandpass filter automations. The Celtic harp you can hear towards the end is a VSTI from my professional DAW software Samplitude Pro X3 Suite in which I have implemented the nice Titan 2 stuff. Hope you like my first try of creating my first very own composition far away from any kind of video game remixes. I guess I'll make a much bigger and longer soundtrack out of this one in the future. Feel free to tell me how you like this one. )) --------------------------------------- Newest version of my track: 1.0 >>> >>> https://clyp.it/pct2dsny
  10. I know pronouncements for album releases here aren't as hot as they used to be, but I submit this work for your consideration and enjoyment anyway: I finally got to do a commissioned work for a visual novel and I contributed 12 tracks to the third game in a visual novel series called Without Within by InvertMouse Games. Not only is this my highest quality release to date, but it's also one of my most consistent and less electronic than before. I had to use more loop and phrase libraries to make that work since everything was still done in the computer and I can't play guitar, but the quality of the output speaks for itself. It fulfills my 15-year goal/dream to make music that puts my Chrono Cross inspiration full to the front AND I finally got to actually perform (with a piano) on a commercial music release instead of just sequence it (and it's not even any of the tracks that has a piano on it!) I don't get to sell this soundtrack as part of my contract deal with the commissioner, but for anyone who is interested in it, I'll post up a link here when that becomes available. Until then, please enjoy this work. I really got to break a lot of new ground here and I hope you're as pleased with it as I am! Composition, arrangement, mixing and further production: Meteo Xavier Mastering: Brandon Strader Album Artwork: Meteo Xavier using public domain images. Game available through InvertMouse Games.
  11. I wanted to create an atmospheric and ambient remix of the wonderful Dragonborn theme of Skyrim. Hope you enjoy it!
  12. I've been working on a new EP with lots of chiptune elements that will be releasing in December. I thought I'd share a little sample of it. The EP will be a mix of chiptune elements, acoustic piano pieces, ambient electronic music and analog synths. Hope you guys like it! I'll be updating pretty regularly on my channel as we head to release. Hope you all are having a great day!
  13. Here's a quick rpg theme I recently composed. It is supposed to emulate a scene where the protagonists of the story are reflecting around a campfire and under the stars (hence the sequenced synth at the beginning and the end). All feedback is welcome :D.
  14. Hey all, finished work on my latest album this last weekend. Just thought I'd drop a link here. Check it out!
  15. Hi,here's a music that i made,tell me what do you think please :
  16. The soundcloud one has better sound quality. The youtube one shows a screen capture of the track in FL Studio.
  17. Hey everyone My first attempt at remixing. Any feedback is appreciated! Currently working on balancing, and getting some of the muddy-ness out of the mix (I'm a noob at production tho).
  18. Part of a series of remixes called 'Hidden Palace,' from a Toronto collective called The OIC, check out more info on the project: http://theloveorchestra.com Free MP3 download at: http://soundcloud.com/loveorchestra/lava-reef
  19. I tried to combine orchestral and ambient to give a sort of forest feel.
  20. I'd love some feedback on my round 1 remix from the Castlevania compo (going on right now over at http://ocremix.org/community/topic/42341-castlevania-cacophony-of-incarnation-2016/?page=1) Any feedback is welcome! You can either post your comments in this thread or on SoundCloud. I plan on submitting this to the OCR judges panel. Lyrics: You say love should feel this way You say love can ease the pain I fear my choice is unclear I fear I could disappear Ruin, sorrow, your love leaves me hollow In the darkness you won't find me here anymore Jaded, blinded, your voice drew me in Our love was misguided but I won't be fooled again You've become a Vampire You broke my heart and drank my soul One day you'll finally meet your fate In the darkness shadows wait for you I won't be your victim and my revenge is overdue You've become a vampire And now I'm here to vanquish you This night you'll finally meet your fate
  21. Hi,here's my last composition,feedback and advices are welcome : https://soundcloud.com/xouman/the-silent-forest Thanks !
  22. Hey OCR, Been a while since I've checked in, but I've been steadily chipping away at writing tracks over the last two years. Here's one I finished about a week ago, drawing inspiration from Chicago juke, classic Warp IDM/ambient sounds, dub and drum & bass (as well as a cheeky Motown reference). https://soundcloud.com/scatterbrain/where-did-my-baby-go EDIT: This tune has been officially released on Various Artists - FuFa Music, Volume 2 - a free download via Bandcamp, compiling tracks from 13 Sydney-based producers, in styles ranging from hip-hop and trap to footwork.
  23. This is "Driving," it's a composition I wrote a couple of years ago and hadn't shared with many people. The music is largely just a result of experimenting with variations on an arpeggio I'd stumbled upon. I wanted to create a mood that would suite someone driving through a mountainous area alone at night. https://soundcloud.com/jeffmatthews/driving
