  1. So I started this one yesterday. I recently hooked up my Xbox 360 again and started playing Sega GT Online, which contains the entire Sega GT 2002 soundtrack (along with some pretty meh new licensed tracks), and boy, have I forgotten how amazing this soundtrack is! So I was playing the game with this particular track on repeat and felt super inspired to do a take on it: I've been wanting to get better at EDM, and I could totally hear this track as a WipEout-style track, with shades of Ridge Racer in it, so here's my first WIP! WIP 1: Off The Grid Off The Grid 1.5.mp3 This track will absolutely skew longer, but I'm going to do my absolute best to make sure it's interesting all the way through, and not just some repetitive 8 minute long nothing. I hope it's already clear that I plan for this track to completely evolve all the way through. I haven't even gotten to the super melodic part of the source track yet, which is my favourite section Anyways, check it out and let me know what you think so far!
  2. I did a live stream of me creating this last night, was up until 4am, haha. Source material:
  3. Here's a bunch of tracks I've remixed over the years. Looking back on this, I can say I got progressively better - but would love to hear a critique or 2. Have at you!
  4. I'm surprised we don't have any more Zelda games tossing him FAR into the future...Not like BoW, but like couple of millennia or so.
  5. I guess I'm just looking for suggestions on how to further develop this and where to go with it. Started this morning and kinda just kept going, could use some fresh ears and brain cells. https://on.soundcloud.com/4xFBL
  6. I had a blast with this one - even if I had hard time making out all the sounds form the original.
  7. Hey everyone! I recently heard the main theme from Child Of Light by Ubisoft, and thought it was simply too beautiful NOT to do something with. I'm a huge fan of Progressive & Uplifting Trance music which is what this remix is. Enjoy!
  8. Hello! I released new original track called "Party Bell". It's electronic dance music featuring instruments such as piano, synth, saxophone and strings. Feedback is very welcome!
  9. Here is my remix for Rundas so far! I just need to add some guitar and some other things. This may change quite a bit. So far I have almost everything finished! The voice may not stay as it is. I may use a vocoder. Let me know what you Metroid Prime lovers think about it so far. August 3 Update Added guitars! August 4 Update Added Rundas' Voice! August 5 Update New Guitar parts
  10. Yo everyone! I released new version of this all time classic song from Touhou 4 "Bad Apple". It was very fun project to learn some new stuff with Serum vst (making risers and fallers, pluck sounds, bass etc.) Feedback is very welcome. For example, what kind of feelings do you have on mixing balance overall? Original song:
  11. Yo! I released new EDM instrumental version of Opening 15 theme from Fairy Tail series. The song is called Masayume Chasing. Original:
  12. Just an edm style track I've been working on. Was looking for feedback on the production quality
  13. Hi all. This is my first time posting an original piece on OCR. Feel free to give a critique. Please be nice! This started off as just an experiment to capture some 80's Synthwave style sounds so the composition is quite simple. Trouble was it got a bit stuck in my head, especially when out on a run, so needed to be finished. It's intentionally in a short, "Radio Edit" format which I quite like for this. If I was to be critical of a few things myself, I think there's some EQ work to be done to crisp things up a bit. A certain amount of mud is needed for the 80's feel and heavy drums but some tweaks might lift it a bit and increase the power. Have at ye!
  14. Here's my first attempt at synthwave style song with a fiverr singer. Have a listen!
  15. Hello everyone! Been a long time since I've posted anything on here (over a decade!). I have here a dance style remix of "Rebel Army" from Final Fantasy II, titled "Rebels Like to Dance Too!". I consider this pretty much complete and ready for submission, but want some feedback first. Thanks! -Brink https://drive.google.com/open?id=1uHWydbVZLy3gg8JJp9CCyT5vpoIr6b4V Source:
  16. Here is a piece of music I have wanted to make for a long time. But I hadn't had as good a start on a piece as this one for it to earn the honorary title of "Theoretical Synthesist". Have at it and enjoy what I have so far! There will be a few anti-climactic moments as this is highly experimental and very early on.
  17. This is my first full length EDM song (with lyrics) that I am composing. It deals with the disease of political correctness and following others absentmindedly. I am posting it to see what people think of the concept. I will be working on the transitions and extra verses in the mean time. The vocalist in the chorus (myself) personifies the world and the powers of evil (Satan)...while the verse is more me singing to myself as myself (and to whoever understands what I am singing about)...I'll let you guys connect with the lyrics before I reveal the rest.
  18. Here is a lone warrior type of theme. It isn't necessarily for Half-Life, but I used some Freeman art because he embodies the lone warrior archetype. Let me know what you think so far.
  19. I always loved this catchy tune from this classic game. So here is my remix of the Battle music from Chrono Trigger done in a electro house/blog house style. Download and Stream links here: http://mercuriusfm.com
  20. Hi, thanks for taking the time to listen to my WIP remix in the style of 90s happy hardcore. Typically songs of this genre feature distorted kick drums, but I chose to go with a clean kick for this one, because I wanted a clean mix with several melodic tracks. My main worry is that I may have strayed too far from the source material. Also a bit unsure about the length; 3:19 is on the short side. I plan on replacing the acid:y synth that comes in around 1:28 with a real analog synth, but want to make sure the arrangement is just right before I record it. Edit: done! Feedback of any kind welcome! Source:
  21. Hey, all! This is a new single we just dropped for our album coming real soon! Have a listen! Hope you like! - ichordic
  22. Hi friends! I just released my 5th album Search for a Lost Reality!! Search for a Lost Reality is a concept album that encompasses the search and discovery of our own true identity. In this album I fused chiptune with modern electronic, orchestral and rock music with a classic video-game flare. Listen here: http://smarturl.it/searchforlostreality Lemme know what you guys think!
  23. Hey, all, so I thought I'd drop these early projects of ours here for you to check out. The first one is called Echosystem, Vol. 1, which was dropped back last year. Mostly leans towards EDM, with plenty touches of ambient and that good ol' retro vibe. https://kronotiqsounds.bandcamp.com/album/echosystem-vol-1 (Here's a SC link for it too) Second one was dropped this year, called the Echowave EP. We're actually working on Echosystem Vol. 2 right now, so this is the in-between project. It's a 5-track EP , and while it's still electronic-focused, we tried to update the energy from the last one with some jazz, hip-hop and drum & bass. https://kronotiqsounds.bandcamp.com/album/echowave-ep Hope you enjoy! Let us know what you think! - ichordic
