  1. https://youtu.be/Cso-oqInw5k This is my very first remix of a theme that's originally from Game Boy. Since my last two remixes (from Earthbound and A Link To The Past) I kind of got stuck in combining more than one song in one remix, it put much creativity into works and makes it a bit more challenging. This remix contains three songs from Kirby's Dream Land, and I have built the remix as follows: 0:00 - Mt Dedede intro 0:38 - Roasted Sweet Potato Shooting & Title theme variation 0:49 - Title theme variation 1:00 - Mt Dedede 1:11 - New solo part (based on the Title theme) 1:33 - Mt Dedede 1:39 - Title theme variation 1:54 - Mt Dedede outro About the remix itself. It's has the highest bpm of any of my previous remixes: 179 bpm. Very fast and high paced, which in turn makes it quite intense. That is why some the parts in there plays in half tempo to calm things down a bit. I'm always true to the original pace which in this case is based on the theme of Mt Dedede. The bass line from the original was really awesome, so I put some work on it and developed it a bit further, then took it down to something more groovy and funky for the solo part and outro part. And speak of the solo part, I took some time to modify a new variation of my signature lead synth at 1:23 which I was really hyped about. I will use it much more in future remixes. Oh I forgot to mention the initial "crash" sound. That is an original SFX from Kirby's Dream Land which plays when you're flying on the star towards Mt Dedede and crashes into the castle at the top of the mountain.
  2. Hi I'm a new member. In these days I have created a program with a collection of audio from the legendary console inside. I leave you the video link. Ps. The audio of the video is distorted but the original program works perfectly. https://youtu.be/QF6JEE_Y3uc
  3. After many (sometimes frustrating) hours of work I have finally managed to complete this remix. I turned the second BGM from the classic Game Boy game 'Tennis' into an orchestral piece. This time I worked with FL Studio 20 and more professional sound libraries such as Cinematic Strings 2 and Garritan Personal Orchestra 5. I first expected to just copy/paste the notes from my MuseScore version, but quickly found that working with better packages was very inspirational. As a result I managed to create a much more interesting and vibrant composition than I could not have pulled off with MS. I made some important changes compared to the first version: Added a pizzicato intro that is supposed to suggest a tennis match with 2 points scored before a ace is landed. This is a reference to a feature in the game where the computer will often use a nearly unstoppable move (ace in tennis terms) that got me so angry as a kid playing this game. The title reflects this also: 'Ace on Me'. I replaced the vibraphone and harp with the piano, which just sounds much better. I added more voices and used different play styles for the strings sections. Thanks to this discussion I was able to overcome some problems with getting the volume right. I did my best to make the mix work well, but still need more practice with the mixer, EQ and all that stuff. I am open to your feedback, but also a bit reluctant to touch this project more. I would very much like to submit it to ocremix, so I guess if it is not up to standards yet, I may have to dive back into it. Alright, enough talk. To the mix: Original track: Previous version:
  4. Hi! This is my first remix! I picked Volley Fire because I thought no one else would have made one (I was wrong) and I would therefore be free from judgement of my ability (hopefully not wrong) First I have to apologize for a couple things. 1. I'm using Finale, which is for writing music, not producing it. Therefore the instruments sound bad, particularly the guitar. 2. Finale is being a trash fire to me so I can't properly export it so the quality of sound is really bad. 3. It probably could have used a 3rd solo before the big ending, so it might feel like a rushed ending. With all that aside, hope you enjoy this.
  5. Hello, I just searched up Music Remix Request on Google and it got me here! Just wondering if someone could make an electronic remix of this theme. It's really catchy and I think an electronic remix would really make it special. Link to the theme here: I'd like it to have some electronic influences from this song if possible: By electronic influences from that song, I mean maybe using similar instruments or maybe a build up to a bass drop that also has a lively, "trebly", and catchy melody and beside it like at 50 seconds in the video. Of course, just using different instruments and really good mastering would be amazing! Thanks!
