  1. Hello! This is my attempt at making a remix for the notorious F.A.T.E. music from the MMO Final Fantasy XIV. I was going for an old school Arch Enemy (Burning Bridges era) and Nightwish feel, so it's heavy as fudge but with piano and violin accompaniment to make it also soaring and epic. https://soundcloud.com/dremorachurl/the-second-eyes Here's the original track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJSM4tAeEAA
  2. One of my favourite games of all time with an awesome soundtrack. My brother recorded some funny footage to go with it. 6 Sonics on a killing spree... I may do more of this soundtrack in the future in different styles. Let me know what you think of it, thanks!
  3. Just found this site, it's nice to see somewhere dedicated to this kind of thing. Here is my remix of Ryu's SFII Theme, I'm looking for feedback. Thanks People
  4. Hey guys, just submitted something I've been working on for a while. Couldn't get the Rainbow Road theme out of my head so decided it was time to take the guitar to it and do a cover. https://youtu.be/0iFy4PJ35aI
  5. It's pretty simple so I thought I'd do a quick and dirty record of the guitars, but I'm not sure where to go with it from here. Maybe thinking of transitioning into Wart's theme or just ending it with a end level jingle but I'm not sure.
  6. I made a medley of all of the stage music from the NES Ninja Gaiden 2. Since this isn't a remix but a medley, I figured it didn't belong in the remixes forum. It's also almost 15 minutes long!
  7. In a world where Mega Man 7's intro theme and Big Blue are combined - Mega Man kicks Captain Falcon's ass and joins the F-Zero Grand Prix... Lyrical idea given by @OceansAndrew over on Twitter when I was agonizing over it. I've been screwing with this for awhile, any comments on the mix before I submit it to the hallowed halls of OverClocked ReMix I'm always down for FEEDBACK! Source1 source2 Download for those who want it vs YT video: http://bit.ly/megafalcon Lyrics: High speed racing Burned in his blood But now It's in my circuits I feel the need for speed I push on the throttle Rock it like a shuttle Roll into first place I will never lose a race Pun ch through the sky, like a falcon above It mirrors the endless sea below me Kick through the pack Come up from the back I don't think I'll be the same Adrenaline flowing' Or at least I assume so Show me your moves So I can show you mine And Keep you in second place I'll take the first with grace You might get small taste In this battle and chase! I received this power by winning a fight So I may as well put it to good use! Punch through the sky, like a falcon above It mirrors the endless sea below me Kick through the pack Come up from the back I don't think I'll be the same I received this power by winning a fight So I may as well put it to good use!
  8. We want to thank the Community for allowing us to post here and be critiqued. We also want to thank everyone who supported us and helped us to get here. we want to thank our Producer at Rogue Studios. This is a track from our upcoming album, TBA
  9. Hey guys! Just looking for some general feedback on this remix. I'm at that point where I'm not too sure what else to be adjusting / paying attention to. I feel like the arrangement / mix are in pretty solid spots, but I usually end up forgetting about / missing something. Always good to have another pair of ears. Of the top of my head, I know I want to go back to a few of the synth parts and make 'em a bit more entertaining to listen to / more dynamic. (Also heads up, I think listening to the stream on box distorts the sound a bit) Thanks in advance for your time. https://app.box.com/s/a2gcbj5uau85sn6mlx0kb5xog16dscm5
  10. I've always loved the soundtracks from Mega Man X series and it was also one of my favorite games. Got inspired and decided to try some Metal arranges for the tracks in this game. I know it's been done a lot, but rock/metal just fits soo well with the Megaman series. Hoping to get some feedback/thoughts for this track. Would love to hear what y'all think about the arrangement and instrumentation as this is some areas of improvement for me. The mixing part is not done yet and no eq and effects on the drums. Original I'm also working on more tracks from Mega Man X 1 and hope to compile those to make an album. Hope y'all enjoy it >:) \m/
  11. So I am really stepping out of my orchestral/classical background with this game. The game is a challenging space racer title and the director of it really loves synthwave so I made sure the synthetic sound was in every track. However, I wanted to use acoustic sounding elements mixed in. My influences for this are Masashi Hamauzu and 65daysofstatic (No Man's Sky). These tracks are in their very VERY early stages so I plan to make changes. I hope those that listen really enjoy the music and maybe leave a comment to critique.
  12. https://soundcloud.com/fazzakins/buff-trump-with-a-grudge The inspiration for this came out of nowhere, while I was trying to figure out how to make decent synths with NI Massive. For some reason, one of the sounds reminded me of this song. Since I was already recording metal-ish things it wasn't too much of a stretch to try and recreate this theme myself, with some flourishes. Someone on YouTube commented that Geese looks (and acts) quite a lot like Donald Trump -- this was before he was elected President, of course. Seems quite apt to title it after him now. Even though Geese is stacked and angry and Trump is mostly just angry. Any feedback, I'm all ears!
  13. I had the afternoon off this last Saturday and put together this little piece. Thought I'd share. I may work on this a little more since it could use some polish in the mix (I barely EQed this), but I figured I'd put out what I had. I'm particularly proud of the solo around 1:48! Let me know what you think! Enjoy!
  14. Hey guys!! This is my latest cover: Cannon Ball from Mega Man Zero 3, where I get proggy and djent a little bit. Let me know what you think! I'm going to start releasing these regularly, so if you liked it, maybe you can subscribe to my channel...?
  15. ReMix I did for the FF3 project. Featuring mah bois @Tuberz McGee (guitars) & @Furilas (bass), thanks again guys! Enjoy!
  16. What's the lower limit for something to post as a work in progress haha? This is literally just 30 seconds but I like it a lot and like anything else I've ever posted here, I have no idea what to actually do from here. It's cool though, I promise! Some of this was mostly from just wanting to try my awful choir and orchestra and blend it with the rest of a metal ensemble. My friend had me try to break down an anime opening and they practically had a guitar on one side and the orchestra on the other side which I kind of like. It might be kind of drastic for something like this but I'll take another shot at it later when it's not super late/early and I don't know what hearing is. https://clyp.it/njb1da1p
  17. Hello :)! I made a new cover about Strikers 1945 II game. The song name is Devil's Tower and it's very cool theme to play on guitar. I had lots of fun recording and arranging this song! Here is the cover: Here is the original:
  18. Hi Everyone. Above is the link to my newest video game cover/remix thing. Obviously SEO optimized for Youtube. Been working on a lot of things mostly to improve my process - but it's been worth it since I feel like I can actually do stuff like this without having to reinvent my process over and over again... I'm always looking for feedback - Just because it's on YouTube doesn't mean that I can't tweak to submit later - and I wanted to post it here because I can't for the life of me think of a title. While not having a unique title is great for getting clicks on the youtubes - not so much for OCR consideration. The source link is below, my concern here is if it's interpretive enough. I definitely change things around a lot and have an original section in there. I just know I've gotten feedback before on being to conservative and I really take that to heart. https://www.dropbox.com/s/cwxm2gb8mkk051t/XvsZero-Reamp.mp3?dl=0

  23. Hi all, I've been tweaking this song for a few weeks now, any feedback is appreciated, use the form below if you'd like. It's a slow heavy metal remix of Tasha's theme from Advance Wars. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3oA-7V8SI0mM3laczQyMzRqTVE/view?usp=sharing ARRANGEMENT / INTERPRETATION [ ] Too conservative - sticks too close to the source [ ] Too liberal - not enough connections to the source (too much original writing, source connections not identifiable enough) [ ] Too much direct sampling from original game audio [ ] Borrows heavily from non-source material (e.g. mainstream music, classical music, movie theme) PRODUCTION [ ] Too loud [ ] Too quiet [ ] Low-quality samples [ ] Unrealistic sequencing (particularly acoustic instrumentation, e.g. notes use the same velocities, mechanical timing) [ ] Generic/cliche sound choices [ ] Drums have no energy [ ] Overcompressed (pumping/no dynamics) [ ] Mixing is muddy (e.g. too many sounds in bass, middle or treble) PERFORMANCE (live recorded audio/MIDI parts) [ ] Timing not tight enough [ ] Wrong notes, general sloppiness [ ] Poorly recorded [ ] Bad intonation STRUCTURE [ ] Lacks coherence overall (doesn't "flow" enough) [ ] Not enough changes in sounds (e.g. static texture, not dynamic enough) [ ] Pace too plodding [ ] Too repetitive [ ] Too short [ ] Abrupt ending WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE TRACK [ ] Creative arrangement ideas [ ] Good production quality [ ] Good live performances [ ] Instrument choices [ ] Improvement from previous submission(s) [ ] Source tune choice(s) PERSONAL COMMENTS (positive feedback, specifics on checklist criticisms, any other thoughts) [write here]
