  1. Hi Folks! I would like to share with you my youtube channel with all the remixes I've worked . I hope you enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/espiritudionisiaco
  2. This thread is for posting and discussing VGM remixes and arrangements that aren't published by or found on OC ReMix. Basically if you find a cool remix on YouTube or something and feel like sharing it with folks in the community, this is the place to post it. A couple of ground rules before we get started: Video game music remixes and arrangements only. Add some comments about why you like the music you're posting. Don't post music without discussing the music other people post. We want to foster discussion here, not create a sterile feed of content. Don't post your own music in this thread; rules about artists posting their own music in Community still apply. Current and TBP ReMixers are allowed to create new threads for their own albums. Current and TPB ReMixers should post any singles in the Workshop. Non-posted artists should only post their albums and singles in the Workshop. Don't post links to unlicensed remixes that are being sold for profit. Hopefully this solves the issue of "I found a cool remix on YouTube and want to share it but it's not mine so it doesn't really make sense to post it in the Workshop but if I post it in Community it would look like I'm advertising and DarkeSword gets pissed about that stuff what is that guy's problem anyway he's such a jerk sometimes..." Anyway, get crackin' people. Show us some cool tunes.
  3. Check it out! Leave a feedback!!! Thank you!!
  4. Greetings everybody, I'm usually not used to be active in forums, so I hope you don't mind if I just pop up occasionly, even though I'm not a newbie in making music and remixes and stuff. : 3 My point is, I love to make music and I love to make remixed from games/music and other stuff as well. But there is always something that keeps bothering me for a while and that is currently the main reason why I'm not very active in making game music anymore. I've done a lot of team fortress 2 remixes - not the usuall bonk songs, but pretty decent stuff, because I knew that valve would never try to harm me for honoring their kind of work and products. It's not their kind of company philosophy and image their presenting. But there are quite a lot a different companies and games out there, where I am pretty much afraid to do honor them by making remixes for their games. I mean, what kind of protection as a private person do i have, if someone shows up and wants to sue me for using any kind of company-product-representative music as a foundation for a good song? I'm pretty sure a lot of you guys already dealt with this kind of stuff and as far as I know, that this side wasn't forced to shut down because of the unquestioned usage of video-game music for remixes - so if I want to make some vg-remix-music, would it be wiser for me just to act in a community or can I upload my stuff on youtube without any worries? I don't use my music to make any kind of money, and I also don't have any current situation, where this came up to me. I am just sick of worring about stuff I have no knowlegde of what might kicks my butt without actually doing something bag. ^^' It was a long time ago since I wrote so much stuff in English. I hope you guys can understand my intentions nontheless. : P Ryu Ookami
  5. I would love to see if anyone would be interested in taking a stab at a remix of the Urban Terror theme song It's a free game made by volunteers (myself included) which is pretty popular in France! It's been around for a very long time, so perhaps a few of you have heard it..
  6. Hallo! I just finished putting together an amateur composing competition website, and I'd be super flattered if you guys came and checked it out. Music Battle It's open to everyone, so feel free to vote, or even enter a contest if you want. Thanks for reading, I guess that's enough plugging for now :3

  10. The People's Remix Competition 312 PRCv12-26 Hello everyone and welcome to the People's Remix Competition! Welcome to the last round of this season. Like the last seasons, this will be a free round. Again it is also allowed to remix a different source (like an Anime Theme, an original song (even remixing a midi from ORC) or anything you like). It is even allowed to continue working on a WIP, as long as most of the work is done during this round. It is not allowed to post a song which you did in the past. The only restriction is that most of the time (> 50%) spend on the song is during the upcoming two weeks. Even MIDI rips are allowed, but probably you won't get a first place with that. Source: Free Round - (Anything you like) ThaSauce link: Click here to submit Poll: There's a poll added to this thread, you can vote for the remixer who deserves a bonus point. The remixer with the most votes gets a bonus point in the first round he or she participates, including this round. In a case of a tie, all remixers who end first gets the bonus point. This only happens if at least 5 people vote. I don't know when I close the voting, it will be somewhere between the start and end of the voting stage. Only remixers who entered more than once this season are in the list of the poll. To submit a song at the compo page a ThaSauce account is required. If anyone has problems with registering or uploading the song to ThaSauce, please upload the song somewhere else and post a download link in the thread. I recommend Soundcloud, don't forget to allow downloads to enable me to upload the song at ThaSauce. To register and submit, do the following. Click the ThaSauce Page. Click the 'You are not logged in' button in the upper right. Click on 'register' (at the bottom). Read the terms and click 'I agree to these terms'. If you don't agree with them, upload the song somewhere else and post a download link as mentioned above (by doing that, you allow me to upload the song at ThaSauce. Continue the process by filling in your information. A confirmation mail will be send. There might be some issues with it (meaning that you don't get it), if that is the case, upload the song somewhere else as described above. Once registered, login with your username and password, go to the mentioned page and submit the song. If you want submit two or more songs you can create multiple ThaSauce accounts or upload the song somewhere else and post the download link. PRC instructions Limitations at ThaSauce require your entry to be 20 MB or less in size. Length for length's sake and MIDI rips are not allowed (only as Bonus Mixes). Entries must be posted in the ThaSauce Page by Friday January 1st 2016 at 10:59 am ThaSauce time (18:00 UTC, 19:00 GMT), check the ThaSauce page for the exact time left. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix. You can also upload it somewhere else and put a download link in this thread Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted in this thread. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of this round may select the source for PRC314 (the PRC pi round) which will have a special rule. The winner of last round, (unknown yet) can participate without restrictions. You can find the full rules list at this page as well. GOOD LUCK! PRC ThaSauce Home Page!
  11. This was something I had planned to write out for, what feels like a long time but held back for various reasons. Also no means a promotion of anything, just someone wishing to share my personal enjoyment of things. Gaming in general, racing games (because we all love speed right?) and video game music! Game is available here by the way. Never really used the forums. Not out of fear so much really, but probably lack of need to. Anyways! Figured what best place to talk about this, since it involves video game music. Mainly from OCR of course, but other sources as well. I was going to do a video pretty much, as a personal promotion of both OCR (and others) music and the game itself. Never really came to fruition because, as I planned that out my USB cable failed on my headset (Logitech G633). Replaced that this month, but as I was waiting I did a bunch of videos in the meantime. So that became a priority to upload, even if it had no real views at all. It just felt like I did something useful, probably shows a lot about myself huh? Besides that anyways. I wanted to post on here, to kinda show off both. I did a couple one-off videos, mostly when I first started out. Found the game sound was a little high, and later changed that for future videos. Top 2 videos are here and here which I had fun doing, just noticed the drifting sound was a bit overpowering. Also I changed my video naming scheme, when I moved onto CEO 2015: Champion. Which shows up after on my channel, because it was unlisted for so long. Mostly holding back until I got things posted and such, but I couldn't help but continue playing. So in the end I organized on a playlist, all the videos as they were to be actually listed. I ended up covering Apex 2014 at complete random, when I was looking for music so that became my latest uploads. Super Cartography Bros was released, as I was in the middle of everything. So that was also done but sitting there on my drive, I also noted Undertale for it's great music as well. Which of course I bought the soundtrack, along with many other that fill out my music library. Mostly this became a thing of personal enjoyment, as I have enjoyed OC ReMix so long ago. Just never really posted on much when I was a kid, even when I got older I mostly avoided saying a whole lot. Mostly this became a sort-of thank you, to the artists who spend many hours on their music. Who are often unappreciated for all that work, and I wanted to showcase the music in a way I knew was possible. I randomly came across this game, as I was looking for something racing related. Found it was for music and enjoyed myself, just as I spend many hours often listening to game music. If there's any potential questions or likely requests, I'm here to answer since I'd like to share what I can with others who are missing out. P.S. Sorry this was a long post, just it took a lot to actually push myself into posting. It's like walking into a lion's den, and hoping not to get mauled.

  13. Of course, OCR is one of my favourite places to find new music to go through my speakers! I'm available to hire for many different types of events. Parties, corporate events, weddings, conventions etc. I've got my own speakers and lighting and I can offer flexible rates to suit your budget. I've got some of my longform mix tapes up on mixcloud: https://www.mixcloud.com/projectgenesis/ Or you can find more details here: http://genesis.blazingskies.net/ or here: https://www.facebook.com/Project-Genesis-1505639543025318/?ref=hl All the best, Dannielle Blaze (Project Genesis)
  16. Hi guys, I'm working on an original piece at the moment. It's a sad, solo piano track, only 1 minute or so in length, and it has to work as a seamless loop. I'm not at all confident in my own abilities, so what I want to know is- what do you think, and what can I do to make it better? I use Logic Pro 9, and this was created with the Ivy Piano in 162 soundfont. I wish I could get a live player to perform it, but alas, I lack both a piano, and the ability to play one. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/np1ahu61yc034f4/AABQn7x16LRh6_aIrtsVl2vSa?dl=0

  18. Hey everyone! It's been a looong time since I've posted anything, or have even been on the OCRemix website haha but over the course of a few days, I've put together what I think is my best video game remix to date. It is a jazz version of Hydrocity Zone. My composition is a combination of acts 1 and 2. It was done completely by myself and made entirely in FL Studio 11. This is a WIP because I still need to adjust volumes and finish the improv section, which you will notice is the part with just the drums and bass. If anyone wants to be on this track, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. It would be neat to have another artist from the OCRemix community improv on this track. The cover art for this track got effed up so it looks really bad but I'll fix it. Take a listen and let me know what you guys think!! Also, how do I change my username on here? lol https://soundcloud.com/brian-williams-20/an-evening-at-the-hydrocity-cafewip

  21. Might already be a thread about this but I have to ask. What is your stance on the loudness war? Sure, most of us out there don't mix our tracks to clipping/overcompression levels, but I bet most of us get the track sounding as good as possible - while being as loud as possible. There is a volume knob. Why not use that? Is it to fit in with other track volumes? It is just because its "common practice"? In some cases, are we slaves to what are considered good production practices? Does that cloud our judgement? What do you guys do?
