  1. Hey all; just wanted to share that at long last, I have (once again) rebuilt Mazedude.com. I'd love it if you could take a peek, explore a bit, and let me know what you think. http://www.mazedude.com Some of the remix descriptions are a bit sparse (or missing), and I'm working on filling those in over time. Otherwise, I've brought back that nifty "compare to the original" feature that people liked from the old site, I've loaded the (available) descriptions with inspiration and reference material, and you can also play the entire American Pixels album through the site. Every track has its own URL, it's mobile-friendly... lots of good stuff. Oh, and as of last night I've also built a search engine into the platform. Check it out and share your thoughts, many thanks!
  2. Hi! Here´s my new soundtrack called "Liittle Shaman", hope you like it!
  3. I made this song about 2 months ago and would like to know what you guys think. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kftWeD2uZ4w
  4. I made a new song for a series I've been working on; tell me what you think!
  5. Hello Everyone! I made this song a little while ago and would like to know what you all think. I want to make more songs like this but I'm not sure yet. Thank you!
  6. I released my latest classical piece. This song accompanies a story that I created titled Remorse Nothing More. It is a full orchestration created in FL Studio. Please let me know what you think.
  7. Released today is my first album, self titled Artificial Eye. The catch-all genre is synthwave, but it encompasses a range of cinematic soundscapes and melodic tunes. Available on Bandcamp Tracklisting: Love Locket [3:00] Flight of Apollo [6:43] What Awaits [5:57] Don't Feel Bad [4:38] Designer Perfection [6:47] The Babysitter [3:42] Vacation [4:29] American Dream [8:29] The Future We Are [3:45] Follow on Bandcamp Like on Facebook Follow on Soundcloud Please give it a listen and tell me what you think!
  8. Figured I ought to share my stuff here. Lots of different things, mostly stuff made from my eclectic collection of virtual instruments (Kontakt etc.), weird old analog synths and the like. I prefer to go for mood/storytelling than whether or not you can dance to it. Lots of horror/ambience in here. playlists: https://soundcloud.com/tymime/sets
  9. Life is not meant to be lived in a cage like a slave. You must fly free and see the what this wonderful world has to offer.
  10. Even though I love the decision to have no ambient, non-diagetic, music during the areas of the souls games, I felt compelled to create a fan soundtrack for them. In any case, I hope some people will enjoy it - the whole thing is up on youtube and there is also a bandcamp album I put together for it, linked down below. The tracks cover the areas of the base game, and the DLC will have their own releases with the painted world as a solo piano soundtrack and probably limited to strings for the Ringed City judging on how it feels from the previews. https://youtu.be/AaAboDTfcuw https://soundphenomenon.bandcamp.com/album/ashen Anyone want to help me make a mod of this??? I've finished up the music for Ashes of Ariandel, and this should be up in short order.
  11. Hey guys! I haven't posted here since 2006 and back then I was just browsing and not sharing much. Since then I've been practicing composing a bit of music myself. Mainly motifs for my original cartoon/puppet characters (yes, I build puppets now.) I consider myself a total novice as I can't play any actual instrument and cannot read sheet music for the life of me. I literally just plug notes into the FL studio piano roll until it sounds like music. I'm working with free sound fonts too. So my music is pretty much midi sounding. Anyways I figure I'd share my latest composition. It's a solo piano suite of my main character's motif/theme. The backstory is that my character spent 28 years composing it and considers it his masterpiece. He plays it when he's got free time or if he want's to creep out his guests. His theme is essentially an original russian/soviet sounding march, but in this I gave it many variations. From Bach, to Mozart to even a waltz. I tend to compose music in 3 genres: Russian military, German polka and evil circus music. I suck at mixing/mastering/ orchestrating so go easy on me. I'm trying to learn more. Music isn't my main focus but I figure it's a good skill to have. Let me know what you think. Also I'm open to collaboration too. I have a bunch of unused songs/lyrics and a few ideas for video game musical numbers. Mainly Rare ltd and donkey kong country inspired. Thanks EDIT: For the record I HAVE NO IDEA if this is actually in F minor. The only reason it's titled that is because he says the F word a lot. If anyone can tell me what key it's in I'm all ears.
  12. Hey guys, I'm fairly new here and am just getting started on making original compositions for video games! I made a couple of tracks so far but may need an extra ear to see whether I'm heading in the right direction. Castor's theme attempts to exemplify the logical demeanor of "a man of few words", cold and calculating. Miranda, on the other hand, is a serene yet unyielding spirit. She represents a peaceful return from calamity, a gentle affirmation of small victories. In other words, the Kairi to your Sora for KH fans! Lastly, last chance plays when circumstances have turned for the worst and the protagonists must overcome their plight in absolute desperation I would love to hear what you all think! In the meantime, I'll continue making music as always. Thanks! Jescmo
  13. I wanted to ask for an opinion on a couple of my original pieces. They're Kingdom Hearts based but are more in my own style than Yoko's. Advice for improvement/constructive criticism is highly appreciated (just try to be nice). Here's an attempt at RPG music I did this weekend. It's a theme for both Marluxia (Kingdom Hearts COM) and to a lesser extent, General Grievous (Star Wars). I usually make my own motifs when writing music but I occasionally use bits of existing motifs (depending on the character). Tell me what you think (I've gotten a little less repetitive over time). Here's a boss theme for Maleficent and Pete in KH3. Enjoy!
  14. An instrumental I threw together using FL Studio after I stumbled on a chord I liked. Has a trippy psychedelic, hip hop vibe to it. Uses a combo of standard drumsets, about 3 synthesizers, and an 808 plus a few plugins. Enjoy.
  15. https://kingtiger.bandcamp.com/album/foul My first original rap song! It's a drumstep-esque EDM with a slick flow on top. It's $.50 (make sure you use the coupon/promo code "foulmsrp" in checkout or else it'll charge you $1.00). Please give it a listen and maybe even buy it! Here's a SoundCloud player:
  16. Hello OC Remix community, I've been itching to do an OC remix for a very, very long time (I think I was introduced to it around 2000). In the meantime, I thought I'd jump into the fray and share an original piece I did earlier this year. I'm a huge fan of film scores from the 80's, and composed a horror/sci-fi/thriller piece with flavors of Tangerine Dream and John Carpenter. Looking forward to my first remix, but until then, I hope you enjoy this pulsing, suspenseful, dark synth track. Best, Meg
  17. Over the years, I've written a fair number of original songs. Some got done, some got half-way finished, and others didn't get beyond even the first 15 seconds. But I kept making them, and going back at times to work on ones that I'd started, but never finished. Oddly enough, it was while I was working on a remix last year that had way too much original stuff to be a remix anymore (for Vampire Variations III) that I finally just said the hell with it, cancelled that remix so I could make it a wholly original song, and began listening to the done and unfinished tunes I'd made in the past. I began thinking about which ones I'd like to tackle in terms of updating and/or finishing, and wound up doing not only that, but writing several brand new songs that came to me as I was working. The end result, is "The Journey Vol.1." This is an album with music that was inspired by various parts of the novels I've been working on, covering moments that were happy, sad, and points in-between. The style of the music is basically classical or ensemble, with piano, orchestration, and even some chamber-esque music. I'm pretty proud of the end result, and can't wait to get going on Vol. 2 once I've given myself a little break (this was WAY bigger of a project than I thought it would be). You can find the album on both Bandcamp and CDBaby (link coming once it's live) for $5, with 11 main tracks and 2 bonus tracks. Here's the first single from it, "A Mother's Last Lullaby." https://soundcloud.com/dragonwolfdesign/a-mothers-last-lullaby With that, here's a link my Bandcamp page. Hope you guys enjoy the album https://dragonwolfdesign.bandcamp.com/album/the-journey-vol-1 http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/mtyankovich1
  18. Hey guys, I've been working on a game for the last 2 years and we're in need of at least one more composer. Before I lose your interest, you can check out a video of the game in action at the link below: If I had to quickly sum things up, I'd say it's like... -a virtual world come to life, with a character driven story -entirely hand drawn 2D animation -gameplay that evokes platformers like Mega Man Zero and Kirby Superstar... -but also fighting games like SF: Third Strike, Marvel 3, and Guilty Gear. -with a heavy emphasis on a team of playable characters that are entirely unique from one another. If you'd like to learn a bit more about the story and characters, you can check out my patreon over here: https://www.patreon.com/hybridmink?ty=h ---------------------------------------------------- You might notice the music in the background of the video above. It was composed by Rozen, who's on board for composing some of the more epic and dramatic pieces in the game. We're also working with the Cynic Project who's posted a couple mixes on OCR before. He's handling the more electronic and trance pieces. However, at least half of Rudra's music needs to rock. Something along the lines of Mega Man and Sonic with some punk and metal mixed in. After speaking with both artists, we decided that we basically need a guitarist. While I definitely have some people in mind, I've found over the past couple years that it's better to reach out to a community that I love and actually find people that really want to work with you. So I of course turn to OCR, the site that's provided a substantial chunk of my music collection for the past 15 years. If you are interested at all, please let me know by replying in this thread or simply emailing me at: hybridmink (at) gmail (dot) com I'd love to talk to anyone interested, though I'd just ask that you provide a couple examples of your previous work. Full disclosure, we are planning on having a kickstarter in August. The goal is to have at least one more track (on top of what Rozen and Cynic Alex are working on) ready for the trailer. Thanks for reading this far and I hope to hear from you soon! If you have any questions about the game, characters, or scope, don't hesitate to ask. -Nick
  19. Instrumental I came up with using trumpets. Also includes Sax, Electric Guitar, Standard Drums, 808 snares, and some synthesizers. Has chill but kind of head bobbing feel. Could use some feedback. Thanks for listening
  20. Hello guys ! I just released my 1st album and wanted to share it here ^^ Even if it's an original album, you can feel it was greatly inspired by video games ! I'm sure some of you found out where the album's title comes from You can stream all the tracks from Bandcamp and of course buy it if you wish to support a young artist (if you do, you can use the code "escape" to get 50% off until the end of March) If you really like it but you can't pay for it, just leave me a message and i'll send you a link to a free download... in exchange for your impressions
  21. Aside from 2 Remix WIPS, I have two Original Tracks uploaded to Soundcloud for all to enjoy! Let me know what you all think. I'm still working on the details to mixing with Cubase, but I feel like these are coming along nicely.
  22. This is an original piece I did for a friend of mine who goes by the name "Munnbun". In case you guys were curious, that is his art. Glorious, ain't it? Her name is Sarah, and this is the first version of her theme. I'll be making more themes for his characters in the future. You can check out his page and his art here:www.facebook.com/Munnbun/ Hope you guys enjoy! Copyright © 2015 by Saitoshi All rights reserved. 23. Hello OC Remix! Back in 2002 I wrote a nine minute classical piece using Noteworthy Composer to coincide with a fiction I was writing. Noteworthy Composer is known as strictly a notation software but would be able to play songs written in it through basic MIDI (e.g. Microsoft Wavetable Synth); thus, the song was written but not produced. After many years of not working on music, I recently bought some music production equipment and FL Studio. I have written a few remixes and original pieces but they have not been up to par with the quality of most remixes on OC Remix. However, I decided to finally produce this orchestral piece. The result is awesome! I also recorded my own clarinet playing. Please take a listen and let me know what you think. Following is the link to Sound Cloud: https://soundcloud.com/tonal_bliss/remorse-nothing-more-chapters-1-4 I am hoping to further improve my classical/orchestral producing and writing abilities in the near future. I am planning on doing a orchestral remix/arrangement of a video game theme. I'd love to submit that to OC Remix when I'm done. Thank you for your time.
