  1. Hi guys, I'm working on an original piece at the moment. It's a sad, solo piano track, only 1 minute or so in length, and it has to work as a seamless loop. I'm not at all confident in my own abilities, so what I want to know is- what do you think, and what can I do to make it better? I use Logic Pro 9, and this was created with the Ivy Piano in 162 soundfont. I wish I could get a live player to perform it, but alas, I lack both a piano, and the ability to play one. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/np1ahu61yc034f4/AABQn7x16LRh6_aIrtsVl2vSa?dl=0
  2. Zelda II 'Thelonius Temple' Niiiiice! I really like the piano on this one and the overall jazz motif. Very well arranged. I can't think of anything bad to say, except that the remixer has never done anything else besides this! That in itself is a shame. OK and I guess it could be a bit longer.
  3. Mega Man 'Set Me Up the Bomb Man' Someone give me a controller, I want to play some Mega Man. Mute the TV and put this on the stereo. Yes! That’s what I’m talking about. In case you haven’t already noticed, I suppose I should let you in on a little secret: I love this mix. The thing that gets me into the groove with this one is that bass line. It sounds like the authentic NES bass enough to bring back the memories of those old games (not that I ever played Mega Man in particular), while still adding enough sweet electronic spunk to make me want to dance. And by the way, it also hops into some awesome piano inserts a couple times, just to spice things up.
  4. Game: Chrono Trigger Original Track: Corridors of Time Link to Remix: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/628213 A couple of days ago i was messing with my guitar, and found an interesting chord progression that i liked. I then randomly noticed that with some adjustments i could make Corridors of Time work in that chord progression, so i made this arrangement. What do you think?
  5. Star Fox 'Clan McCloud' I think right before he made this tune djp must have went to the music store and purchased some new instruments and/or software because the sound quality of his mixes started making leaps and bounds forward with this cool tune. The percussion is particularly good, I think. So are the strings which sound very smooth and clean. In the second half the song quiets down to make room for some cool piano, then gets going again. I thought that was a brilliant touch. Nothing at all bad to say about this ReMix. Well I could probably find something bad if I really wanted to, but I don't want to.
  6. Legend of Zelda 'Jazzy' An excellent jazzy piece from AmIEviL. Very laid back, and that's definitely cool. You won't be breakdancin' or scratchin' records to this (if you're into that stuff) but instead you'll relax and want to socialize. If all lounge music was this good, perhaps it would be a bit more popular.
  7. Alex Kidd in Miracle World 'Sugar High' This was my first ReMix submitted to this fantastic site. I saw that DJP was a Sega fanboy (as am I) so I figured he'd take quick notice to this.... and he did! He quickly posted it and sent me a check for $1,000, which I feel that everyone should do. OK so he didn't do that. This is a decent mix, I think. It shouldn't blow you away and you shouldn't run away screaming, either. I added a string section towards the middle to change things up a bit, otherwise it it the main Alex Kidd melody with far superior instruments than those used in the Sega Master System and Sega Genesis versions of the game.
