  1. I've done Chrono Trigger arrangements in the past, but the short 14-second theme for "Manoria Cathedral" has always been one of my favorite pieces of music from the game. Since the original theme was so short, I decided to do an improvisation based on that theme and flesh it out. My good friend Nathan offered to transcribe the piece and ended up finishing it in just a few hours. The sheet music is linked in the video description. Hope you guys enjoy!
  2. A classic game from Disney with nice songs. Genesis Megadrive console. My favorite is Level 1 Also available in Super NES, the same song at level 1, but the sound is different. I like Megadrive music better Thanks Level 1, rooftop run
  3. Here is my remix of Anything But Tangerines. I used only instruments taken directly from the SNES and Genesis versions of the game, then mixed them in a DAW. It was quite the ordeal unscrambling the crazy sound channels in the SNES version, but that's a video for another day.
  4. Here is a straight literal remix of Ken's Stage for Super Nintendo. As in, I used emulation of extract the highest quality version of each sound channel from the original game, and then remixed it all in a DAW without adding any outside samples or tracks from any other source. Modern EQ, reverb, compression, and guitar amp simulators helped a lot to improve the sound. A few measures of the original SNES sound are spliced in for comparison.
  5. What's up guys, I'm working on a VGM Remix album. Released a few teasers at my YouTube page. Teaser 1 - Donkey Kong Country - Aquatic Ambience Teaser 2 - Chrono Trigger - Opening/Title Theme Teaser 3 - Castlevania Bloodlines - Iron-Blue Intention Music styles will be well varied.. Would be cool to hear what people think, and perhaps find some new subscribers. All the best!
  6. Here's another one! As the nights are becoming longer and colder we thought to keep you guys warm with a proper shuffle blues riff, this time from the amazing niche SNES gem PLOK! The then very young Tim and Geoff Folin got something amazing out of the limited capabilities of the SNES music chip, something that is as quirky and unique as the whole game. Enjoy and remember! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feMWBujjQ2M Stefan of REMEMBER CITADEL ( https://www.facebook.com/remembercitadelband )
  7. This is a very straightforward remix using the SNES and Genesis sounds. The arrangement is exactly the same as the original. This was more of an experiment to see what a retro song would sound like if an SNES and Genesis worked together. Basically I was satisfying my own curiosity.
  8. I've been working on a new EP with lots of chiptune elements that will be releasing in December. I thought I'd share a little sample of it. The EP will be a mix of chiptune elements, acoustic piano pieces, ambient electronic music and analog synths. Hope you guys like it! I'll be updating pretty regularly on my channel as we head to release. Hope you all are having a great day!
  9. Jurassic Park 2, The Chaos Continues is one of the harder games on the Super Nintendo, for all the right reasons. Graphics may not be top notch but the controls are sharp. 2 things stood out to me as a young gamer about this game, the early cinematic cut scene with voice work (one of the first or only for SNES, at least as far as I have seen), and the music. I love OCRemix. I have been using this site for years and occasionally I use the forums (since I'm not a musician, all I could contribute is artwork). One thing I keep hoping to finally see amongst all the Final Fantasy, Mario, and Zeld
  10. I'd like to know what you folks think. I've been working on this one, off and on, for quite a while. Thanks!
  11. Hey OC Remix folks! We are DrKrake vs Jellyfish. We've been remixing video game music for quite a while (since 2009), but never really felt the itch to submit anything to OC Remix. Instead, we had a short-lived run on Newgrounds and mostly only uploaded our tracks on YouTube on random occasions. For this Christmas, we decided to release all of our stuff in a big free package and did so in the Super Musical Entertainment System! It's a massive collection of 33 tracks spanning various electronic music genres - trance, goa, house, hardstyle, and everything inbetween. You can grab it (fo
  12. Hello gang, my first post! Long time lurker (10+ years), and i've always loved listening to the remixes on the site. Thanks to all the creative geniuses who lurk here I've been trying to figure out a few tracks on this video for a while now, however recently i was able to ID two of them (one was from starfox and the other one was from ninja gaiden; should note both remixes came from here :D). see below for reference, the track i'm trying to ID starts at 2:50. If anyone could help ID that track it'd be greatly appreciated TIA!
  13. Chrono Trigger - To Far Away Times [Ending & Credits] - SNES - Analog and retro sounds REMIX by Pixelizer Good Listening and give me your opinion Original track :
  14. Hi Folks! I would like to share with you my youtube channel with all the remixes I've worked . I hope you enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/espiritudionisiaco
  15. Here's me toying around with this melody that I've always liked and hardly get tired of listening. Original (SNES version): https://youtu.be/erYiWe5OnBo My take so far: https://app.box.com/s/z5xw1eqhjk7vj85lt463ojhxg8y8c2mr After playing a bit with it, I'm starting to like it as much as to make it a whole remake song and I feel like sharing what I have so far. Any feedback is always welcome Cheers and hope you enjoy if you know and like the original
  16. Hi,here's the track : https://soundcloud.com/xouman/snare-and-groove What do you think?
  17. It's not a super popular game but man did I love it. Especially Stage 4, Sunlit a Colony. The stage itself is pretty moving and the music is spot on and just always thought it could do with a remix of some sort. Here's the stage in full and then the music solo.
  18. Hi people! I've crafted a synthrock tune heavily inspired on the Megaman X-ost, and I'd love to hear whether or not you'd say that it has (more or less) captured the original feeling, and of course what your thoughts are on the arrangement, composition, mixing, maybe even the accompanying video and its pacing etc. Honestly love to get some feedback (and provide you with it if you'd like)! Thanks, The Lost OST
  19. Hey guys, I recently finished putting together this collaboration with the accordion player Jackson Parodi, and I'd love to hear what you think of it! Cheers!
  20. Earlier this month, I decided to work on a small remix album for Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. So far, I have 4 tracks complete and 3 in the works in various styles. I'm not sure how many I will actually do, but I hope to have the album complete by May. I might submit a few, but this is mostly for fun and experimentation and I would appreciate feedback. You can find the mixes, along with a few others on my SoundCloud page.
  21. Made this because I felt bad for the guy who's been requesting a Drakkhen remix on the request forum for 6 years with no takers. Wasn't going to post it here initially but I think it may be decent enough to do so. Source material below:
