  1. Synth, waterphone and string orchestra. Hope yo like it!
  2. Howdy, I tried my best to compose the score to a little horror production called „Sarah”, a short film (18-19 min) produced by film students from all departments about a series of murderous events around a remote cabin the woods. It was executed for educational purpose only; nobody involved got any money. The film is to be released online after an initial promotion phase for short film contests, festivals etc. However, I am eager to get some early feedback on the music, especially some hints concerning the mix and the overall sound. Is it realistic enough? If not, what sucks the most? Of course, there were no real accoustic instruments involved. Fell free to tel me what you think about it. Maybe you'll recognize the major motif (a falling fourth/tritone shift) here or there. https://www.soundclick.com/artist/default.cfm?bandID=674265 Best regrads Dustin
  3. Did a very short soundtrack to an arcade game I'm currently working on with my programmer. I used an NES soundfont. Granted these are only demos even by 8 bit standards. Anyone with skill in 8 bit chiptunes please give me tips on making these sound a bit more less muddy. or any other tips on making these sound better, Let me know what you think!
  4. Hello there! First of all I want to say hi to everyone in this community, I'm new here, althought I know OCremix for a long time! This is my first post here, so I hope I'm not doing anything wrong, If I'm please tell me and I'll fix it asap! I want to share with you the soundtrack I made for BOOR, the game by Dazlog, which is on Steam since 14th February: The soundtrack consist of 27 electronic songs with an atmospheric touch. It's one of the largest and more complex works I've ever done, and I'm quite proud with the result! Anyway, I hope you like it, and of course any comments or reviews are welcome! Thanks!
  5. Hey fellas, Here is the newest song I've finished up, with a little gameplay video to go along with it. The next phase in my quest to capture a fever dream in the form of a tune. Check it out and give me your thoughts!
  6. Hi guys, I'm new here. I've got some music that will hopefully be of interest, it's remastered versions of 7 tracks from the original Unreal. All the tracks were by Alexander Brandon, I think. So it's not technically a remix, but I've remastered the tracks and made them sound significantly better than the originals. It's my favourite game soundtrack of all time, and I'm a big fan of Alexander Brandon. You can listen to the tracks here - So I hope this is of interest. Feel free to reply with feedback or anything. It was a lot of fun to improve the mix on some of my favourite tracks from the game.
  7. Hello All, I wanna talk about a kickstarter campaign which is running right now, from Rémi Gazel the composer of Rayman's 1 songs. He wants to give a new life to the musics he composed for the very first Rayman in 1995 with a Jazz/Rock/Electro/Symphonic Albumon CD and vinyl. You can find the kickstarter page here : Kickstarter campaign His youtube channel : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8tVg0OV642Kt-k7zSV6kIA What do you think about it ?
  8. Hope you all enjoy it. I started it so long ago and never got back around to refinishing it. I finally gave in an posted it or everyone to criticize. GO!
  9. Hi everyone, this is my first own finished electronic music track on LMMS. I created it as soundtrack for the game I am currently developing (also my first one actually). I hope you like it ! All sorts of feedback are appreciated and don't forget to enjoy the music!
  10. I'm doing music for a fan Castlevania project. Here's a few tracks for you to enjoy: - Burning Purpose - Ecclesiae Strigam - Sanguine Moonblossom - A Soldier with a Grudge
  11. I made this track 3 years ago and want to know what you all think about it. I am open to any and all criticism.
  12. Hey guys, some years back, I wrote the soundtrack for an Xbox Live Indie Game called "Aphelion". I've been mostly dabbling with vocal music since, but since I'm trying to get back into composing / video game soundtracks, I'd still very much like your input on this one. It still contains some of my favourite instrumental tracks I've written, though I'm aware I'm still probably at the beginning of my journey. Quick disclaimer: I know that for some tracks, mixing is an issue. I'd probably do stuff differently today, so I'm rather looking for some pointers arrangement and composition-wise, but nonetheless: I appreciate every single bit of feedback. Enough babbling, here's a YouTube playlist: Thanks in advance!
  13. Sup everyone! Super happy to announce that my Kickstarter-doublefunded anime soundtrack album, "Beyond Libra", has been released AND we're having a listening party tonight!! For those unfamiliar, this was an album of original music I wrote over the last 8 years, with lots of stylistic references to composers such as Yoko Kanno, Jo Hisaishi, and Yasunori Mitsuda. I collaborated with several OCR artists on this one, including Jeff Ball, DrumUltima, Jillian "Pixietricks" Aversa, Sixto, Finbeard, Harmony, Audiofidelity, XPRTNovice, Shrack, Snappleman, and Jose the Bronx Rican. We also had three different live choirs (The Philadelphia Boys Choir, The Yale Slavic Chorus, and a Nigerian vocal ensemble) and live orchestra, along with artwork by Keiiii and Star Wars artist Stephen Chang, so it was a gargantuan production across three continents. Kickstarter backers who opted for the digital release should have already received their copy via an emailed bandcamp code; Physical copies will be mailed off later today and tomorrow. The album is available at https://rogetmusic.bandcamp.com/album/beyond-libra for the full release with all our gorgeous disc art, and it'll be available on iTunes, Spotify, and several others soon as well. Listening party will be on Wednesday, March 9th (ie. today) at 10pm EST (7pm PST), courtesy of 8bitX: www.twitch.tv/8bitx Scott Porter (SeattleOvercoat) will host the show, and I'll answer questions and give behind-the-scenes anecdotes about the album's production. Sorry for the short notice, but I hope you guys can make it!
  14. Hey guys! So I took the Star Fox theme from the "Star Fox Zero | Introducing Star Fox" trailer, and completely re-orchestrated it! So now you can listen to it without sound effects (haha)! I absolutely love this version of the piece, and did my best to recreate every nuance, listening carefully to uncover everything (hard to do with all of the sound effects in the trailer!) I hope you enjoy it! Original video:
  15. Hello all ! Mega Man 3 Dr Wily Stage 2 Theme - NES, analog remix. Good Listening Source :
  16. Hey guys! I posted about this aaaaages ago, but now finally my anime-inspired soundtrack album is almost ready for release! Influenced by composers like Yoko Kanno, Joe Hisaishi, and Yasunori Mitsuda, the 44-minute album features live orchestra, three live choirs (including a Nigerian vocal ensemble and a Slavic women's chorus), vocal performances by Jillian Aversa (Pixietricks), Raj Ramayya (from Cowboy Bebop and Wolf's Rain), Brandon Bush (Harmony) and others, and instrumental performances by Sixto, Drumultima, JeffBall, AeroZ, Audiofidelity, Chuck Simpson (Finbeard), and many more! EDIT: Our kickstarter is now live!! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rogetmusic/beyond-libra-an-anime-inspired-soundtrack

  20. Hey everyone, so this is an intro theme I composed for a medieval fantasy style game that's currently in development. The game's plot is currently going through some changes that may render this music inappropriate for the game's subject matter so I wanted to share this in case it never sees the light of day otherwise. I tried to keep the dynamics intact so you may have to turn up your speakers a bit more than usual. Anyhow, enjoy! https://soundcloud.com/jeffmatthews/legend-of-avalonia-intro-theme-upcoming-release
  21. Hey everybody, I just recently finished a track that started as some kind of accident when I unintentionally sent my kick to the delay return track but immediately liked the effect. The rest of the track just flew right out of my fingers. I'd describe it as some kind of experimental-oriental-soundtrack-stuff. What interests me most: do you guys 'feel' anything when you listen to this? I am lately heavily questioning my own productions in terms of their vibes (or what I think: not existing vibes). Maybe as a producer it's hard to feel vibes in your own tracks, but yeah, let me know what you think. https://soundcloud.com/tiyotsu/red-sand Thanks in advance
  22. Here's a remix I made of a melody from the gameboy game, called Donkey Kong. It's the Desert World theme. Pretty basic but fun practice. Enjoy! Link is below. https://soundcloud.com/tricarnetry/donkey-kong-on-gameboy-desert-theme-remix
