  1. Hiya! Another Temple theme cover!? Well, yes I made a cover of this like ten years ago and shared it to ScrewAttack g1 submission thing or whatever. It sucked hard, but it was the best I could do at the time. So when I started getting serious about the video game remixing/covering (btw, which is it!?) I wanted to do this again to show myself how I have improved... and I have, if I say it so myself. Got a bit side tracked on the end riffing, but I thought it needed some heavy dropped D twanging release! Have a lovely day y'all! Original tune:
  2. Source: Does the world need another Terra's Theme remix? I did. I'm new. Don't be gentle, I'd like to learn and keep growing! Remix:
  3. That's my first remix/cover of a Game Soundtrack, so please, leave your Feedback and Tips to help me improve my soundtrack! Thx.
  4. Source: Worked on a remix of the dungeon theme for a competition. Happy with how it came out, but I'm a little worried I may be stretching the melody of the original bassline a little too liberally. If it's not too far off the mark, I'll try and see if I can clean this up into something submittable for the panel. 5. It's kind of a synthwave sandwich with a calm center. Any feedback is welcome. "Still haven't thought of a title yet" The original song -
  6. Wassup guys! Description: Inspired by the music of Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future, here is my take on the track “Perils of the Coral Reef”. My version is called “Joys of the Coral Reef” which is a lo-fi chill hip hop beat with beautiful strings and a sax solo, and calming ocean, dolphin, and whale sounds. Imagine swimming in the clear blue sea with this tune playing! Enjoy! UPDATE: Made a lot of changes! Will submit this! Listen Here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/1g8r11ish65xrh0/Perils of the Deep Sea (Lofi).mp3?dl=0 This is the track from the actual game:
  7. Hello again! Checked out this game and thought it is awesome! The stage 4 music really hit me 'cos I think it's a kind of departure from the typical Castlevania music style and generally it has some catchy melodies and a strong beat. Tuned down to B with the guitars to get that low end booming! And also this is the first song I learned by ear, in everything else I've done I have used midis to help with the composting/arrangements. The original track:

  9. Sup all! When gamers who have played God of War 4 decided to make “Boy”, the name Kratos constantly calls his son Atreus, into a popular meme, Smooth4Lyfe decided to create a remix. Check out the EDM remix called “BOY”, which turns the voice of Kratos into a hot club pumping beat. Hope you like!
  10. Hi guys! About a year ago I submitted a Remix which got No'd with some constructive feedback. I went back into my DAW and fixed hopefully most of the complaints and critics. I hope someone is able to give me a review on the WIP and see what else needs fixing before I resubmit. Thanks a ton!
  11. Hi OCRemix! Here's a remix of Hyrule Castle theme with a happy tone. I don't have any clue of the genre. If anyone knows, please tell. I was going for kind of traditional dance music vibe with this. Hope you enjoy! 12. Hey everyone ! Here's my cover of Piranha Plant's Lullaby from Super Mario 64. Enjoy Original :
  13. I don't know how well known this soundtrack is but here's my most recent remix. I can definitely use an extra set of ears. I would like to hear others' thoughts on the overall remix and mix. More info about the remix itself is in the description in the soundcloud link if you were wondering why I made the certain choices I did :). Thanks, Matt Remix: Originals:
  14. Hi! This is probably my best cover out of eight that I have put up on Youtube and Spotify. Having hard time finding any kind of audience/community to share these so I figured this is the place where I can find some video game music fans that give opinions and hints! I try to be pretty faithful to the original arrangements and bulid my own stuff on top of that cos' it brings my piss to a boil when you have a metal remix of some tune and it's just filled with double kick and djent without anything to do with the original arrangment. So there's my modus operandi, enjoy! Original:
  15. I've been messing around a lot recently with the soundfont for Golden Sun, applying it to other games, and this is one of the products thereof. I started out by using the same instrumentation as for the Elemental Stars Chamber, and ended up incorporating some of the melody, too (albeit adapted to a different time signature). Any tips on how to improve further would be very welcome! I know there are all kinds of idiosyncrasies at the moment (especially for dynamics and variation of velocities - not sure how much the GBA is able to do), but I'm not sure which aspects I should really be focusing on. Original tracks: (I don't plan to submit this particular track to the OCRemix, by the way - I'm just experimenting~ ^_^) Edit: My biggest concern for potential submission right now is whether unhumanised, raw GBA soundfont remixes are acceptable for submission. And, if not, whether treating the soundfont instruments as an orchestra, and applying realistic reverb and note velocity variation, would come across as very idiosyncratic.
  16. Hi there! im new here, my name is gerard I made this remix from zelda, it's based mostly on serenade of water from ocarina of time, please tell me what do you think: -Gerard
  17. My remix of 'Peach Beach' and 'Daisy Cruiser' from the best Mario Kart game, Double Dash. A GameCube classic. After remaking the first half, I mixed in a little bit of Sherbet Land, Title Theme, Rainbow Road, Yoshi's Island, and finally a little bit of the Race Won music at the end. Hope you can enjoy it! I'm interested in submitting this here; please let me know if this meets the requirements. -Juke Original:
  18. Zup humans! Been working on a remix of the underground theme from yoshi's island for the past 5 days. Its a WIP and I feel like my ears have become numb from listening to it for 5 days straight and I really need to hear what other people think about the mix and the arrangement. Original My remix, latest version
  19. This is my first time posting to these forums and submitting a remix to them. I just recently got what I believe is called a step sequencer on my computer, LMMS in this case. After wrestling with it for a while, I created this remix. It is the two different walk about themes from Dragon Warrior/Quest 2. I have some varying styles in this...I like them, but also I did it so some of those varied styles could be heard, and perhaps one of them might work for the entire track, as opposed to the contrasting genres heard here. I added the celebration theme for when you add your final party member between the two different themes, and also added a footstep sound that you hear in the game for when you enter/leave a town. Not sure if those are needed. I also don't know how well I EQ'd this. I "split the difference" between different speakers and devices for playback, as I was surprised how different the same track can sound from one set of speakers/device to another. Thank you for the constructive feedback ahead of time, and please take into consideration my extreme inexperience:) Edit 3-18-18 Latest version at the bottom of this post. Layered some things differently, changed some parameters on a couple instruments, and added a couple little personal touches:) Edit 3-21-18 Latest version at the bottom of this post once again, fixed a couple of sour notes that made themselves known at the end of the tune. Edit 3-25-18 Changed some EQ. Also altered some of reverb on some instruments, as suggested. I also changed the drum pattern in one section, I had 16th note kicks in the section in question; I decided that was overpowering and changed that to quarter note kicks. Edit 3-28-18 Changed some EQ again...I have two versions posted below. I have the one labeled Latest Edit, and I have one below that labeled Different EQ. If I could get some feedback on the EQ on those, and be told which one sounds better EQ-wise (not taking into consideration overall volume), that would be greatly appreciated:) Edit 4-4-18 I only have one version in this post now, and it's my latest edit. Advice was taken, and changed a couple things based on that, as well as a wee bit more EQ change, and a couple small changes that came to me in the moment. Thanks for your listens and comments!:) Originals Latest version
  20. Hey everybody, got a new arrangement here. This is an arrangement for full Orchestra, entitled "On the Sea, the Land and in the Sky", containing music from a few games in the Legend of Zelda Series. After a brief introduction, where some of the themes are introduced, the music starts off in grand fashion with The Great Sea from Wind Waker. Afterwards, there is a transition to a calmer, pastoral and serene collection of tunes from Hyrule Field from Ocarina of Time, before the music builds up and concludes with a big, powerful rendition of The Sky from Skyward Sword. Also made through Sibelius 7 and NotePerformer. Hopefully, the strings don't sound so artificial!!
  21. Hiya everybody, hope you all had a good New Year! Posting my third upload here - It's a meditative Orchestral Arrangement of the Song of Healing from Legend of Zelda - Majora's Mask. The link to the Soundcloud page is below. Tried to make some changes to the sound in this piece, especially in the strings. Brass sounds a bit too artificially bright, but then that's NotePerformer. Will be putting it through a Sample Library when I get one connected to my Kontakt!
  22. Hello, after posting my first remix here not long ago I tried to use your feedback and made a second one. I kept this in a more classical style. What do you think? 23. My current draft of my cover of Hateno Village's theme. I had heard the track an 8th note off from what I believe the intended rhythm is, and I kind of preferred it that way, so I made an arrangement based around that. Let me know what you think it needs! Original:
