  1. A remix, though it's not technically from a video game so I didn't post it in the other forum. https://instaud.io/private/a240d2484448deb83d5208ecb18e28e60d5a400e I'm curious if anything stands out as sounding "off" that can be improved, mixing or arrangement wise, and specifically how to fix whatever it is. this the original song for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MXtGipw_fw
  2. In an attempt to try and hone in on some of my areas of improvement, I'm dragging out some fairly dusty projects out. This one was a track for a stage in a fanmade game, a friend's project of making a MOBA (multiplayer online battle arena, think League of Legends or DOTA) game based on the popular webcomic called Homestuck. I was requested to compose some remixes of various tracks from the comic and supplemental albums for the game. This one is a rendition of Core of Darkness, a track by Jeremy "Solatrus" Iamurri, and is the track for the Derse stage. Derse, for the uneducated, is a purple moon whose orbit brings it around the outer rim of the knowable universe and dangerously close to a place in space where cosmic horrors hang out. Not a very nice place. http://tindeck.com/listen/xstlw And the original track, for comparison: https://homestuck.bandcamp.com/track/core-of-darkness Feedback would be very much appreciated, and even though the project for which this track was made has since been lost to the ages, I'm using it as a springboard to help further my proficiency in music production.
