  1. Greetings everyone! I just posted this one online and it was a super-fun track to put together, It's been a WHILE since I've worked on anything this fast. I don't think I will be submitting this one to the site - to me it follows the original a bit *too* closely, but I still wanted to share with others who might enjoy a listen. Enjoy! https://youtu.be/P2K6DGMC-ZE
  2. https://youtu.be/Cso-oqInw5k This is my very first remix of a theme that's originally from Game Boy. Since my last two remixes (from Earthbound and A Link To The Past) I kind of got stuck in combining more than one song in one remix, it put much creativity into works and makes it a bit more challenging. This remix contains three songs from Kirby's Dream Land, and I have built the remix as follows: 0:00 - Mt Dedede intro 0:38 - Roasted Sweet Potato Shooting & Title theme variation 0:49 - Title theme variation 1:00 - Mt Dedede 1:11 - New solo part (based on the Title theme) 1:33 - Mt Dedede 1:39 - Title theme variation 1:54 - Mt Dedede outro About the remix itself. It's has the highest bpm of any of my previous remixes: 179 bpm. Very fast and high paced, which in turn makes it quite intense. That is why some the parts in there plays in half tempo to calm things down a bit. I'm always true to the original pace which in this case is based on the theme of Mt Dedede. The bass line from the original was really awesome, so I put some work on it and developed it a bit further, then took it down to something more groovy and funky for the solo part and outro part. And speak of the solo part, I took some time to modify a new variation of my signature lead synth at 1:23 which I was really hyped about. I will use it much more in future remixes. Oh I forgot to mention the initial "crash" sound. That is an original SFX from Kirby's Dream Land which plays when you're flying on the star towards Mt Dedede and crashes into the castle at the top of the mountain.
  3. Hello. I really like this song. It's probably my favorite Nintendo song ever and I think it's criminally underrated. I think an orchestral remix would be cool. Kirby Super Star is one of my favorite games ever and I'd like to hear a remix of it (no pressure of course) or at least give it a listen. Anyway, here's the song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHRqcXV8vhk
  4. Here are some of my recent and old projects I've worked lately. As of now I trying to revive my soundcloud and youtube out of their graves but anyway I hope you guys enjoy. Btw I post my songs here first: https://soundcloud.com/dj_flangerous2 Undertale - Death By Trap Endless Thoughts |Zelda's Theme OOT Hip Hop Sample| UFO - (SSBM Fourside Trap Remix) (prod. 5. Hey everyone. I've known about this site for years but only just now decided to contribute something. It's a song from Kirby Air Ride. I blitzed the song in a few days but I didn't realize the review/acceptance process took so long and in hindsight I could have come here for critique and stuff but I guess it's too late now. Oh well, I'm generally happy with how it turned out anyway and got to learn and try out a few new techniques in the process. I also don't really know why I picked this song in particular aside from liking the bassline. There are much better songs from this game I could have chosen; the second movement in this song really stands out weirdly and I was getting annoyed trying to fit it in my composition. I did end up combining another song though, which I thought mixed in well. Anyway, here it is, enjoy! (P.S. I was originally going to start with a remix of Aquatic Ambience until I realized that it's one of the most over-mixed songs on this site and people are getting sick of it. It's such a good song though!)
  6. Hello there! Before I prepare to send in my "resubmit", I would like to seek some guidance from the folks here on the forums. I'll include a link to the judge's comments below this paragraph. The focus of the critique was the production side of things, as I had numerous issues with balance (EQ, volume, panning) that needed addressing. I'm happy to hear any ideas you all have about the composition itself and the instrument choices, but my main motivation for coming here is help with the production work - mixing, mastering, etc. Since reading their feedback, I've been hard at work reproducing my track to fix the issues they mentioned and a few of my own. I want to know what you guys think and if you have any other suggestions for improvement. Thanks for listening! 1. Here's a link to the current version of the track: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xb4td7ecvn93r6c/Rainbow Resort ReMix 2_22_2018.wav?dl=0 2. Here's the version of the track that the judges critiqued: EDIT: Link to the original source:
  7. I've been working on video game covers and arrangements for the past couple years. I mainly focus on orchestrations, but I like to experiment with all sorts of styles. After about a year of working on and off, I've finally finished my first major project: an album of arrangements for the game Kirby & the Amazing Mirror! While it is by no means perfect, I'm proud of it. That said, I would love some constructive criticism and feedback to help me for future projects. Things worth noting: -I use FL Studio and Kontakt 5, and the main audio library I use is the Kontakt Factory Library -The album has 20 tracks in a variety of styles; some stay very true to the original while others are my slightly different interpretations -I really went out of my comfort zone with the rock-style tracks. My guitar samples aren't the greatest - I tried to make do with what I had - so bear that in mind -My biggest struggle comes with the mixing and mastering and general post-production aspects. Any tips about what I could do better in that area would be greatly appreciated Thanks for taking the time to read/listen! I hope you enjoy it and look forward to some feedback!
  8. Hey guys, i am kinda new to this site, but my name is KaiserBeats, an arranger and remixer from youtube and soundcloud, and I am hoping to get my word out into the popular arranger site, OcRemix!, Anyways, I wanted to share some of my arrangements here as way to see what you guys think about them and if they are OCRemix Potential, or perhaps you can give me some advice on these arrangements and finally a youtube link because this remix of mine has gotten to be quite the trend what do you guys think? Pretty neat eh?
  9. I've had this around for quite awhile, but considering the amount of kirby remixes around, I was abit heistant to post it here since it's an older work that I recently re-did the mix and master for, but I decided "screw it", and whelp here goes nothing.

  12. For those of us that don't read Japanese: And various fan sites have combed over it, talked to contacts, blah blah blah. No one knows what's going to happen. Could be a simple thank you message to the fans, could be the announcement of all kinds of new games/events/merchandise... I'm glad they're doing something for Kirby. 2016 is the year of video game anniversaries, 5th to 35th. The year is almost over, and Kirby was almost completely ignored. Happy 25th, Kirby!

  14. Today is my girlfriend's birthday so I wanted to surprise her with a remix from Kirby, which is one of her favorite franchises. I decided to remix Rock Star which is a mutual favorite of ours and incorporate some genre flavors she's fond of, however it comes with one or two surprises to go along with it - I had a lot of fun working on this one; particularly the occasional dubstep elements. Even if it isn't my most preferred genre it's exciting to chop things up. I hope you guys enjoy it!
  15. I was incredibly surprised to NOT be able to find any remix of this theme whatsoever! Kirby's Dreamland 2: Grass Land Level 1 with Intro
  16. Another Remix I thought I'd share with the group! Hope it's enjoyable m'friends. GOURMET RACE (YOUTUBE) GOURMET RACE (SOUNDCLOUD)
  17. MISSION 2 SPLAT U (YOUTUBE) MISSION 2 SPLAT U (SOUNDCLOUD) A little something to kill 2 birds with one stone on my end; a Tribute for Iwata, and to make a little something Splatoon themed (as I was sorta inspired by the musical stylings). No samples used I'm happy to say, : ) and I do hope you all find it enjoyable. Source track is in the description of both tracks.
  18. Both versions are the same, the youtube version just has an extra sound effect at the end. https://soundcloud.com/sokkasm/candy-constellation
