  1. Hi, folks. I actually shared some earlier attempts of this track more than a year ago here. I haven't changed too much since the conclusion of that thread, but thought I'd share the final track. I had to rush filming the video, so there are some minor mistakes hidden in there. I've also learned a lot about the instruments since recording the audio, especially the pennywhistle, and regret some of the flat playing and technique. That all being said, any thoughts or criticisms are welcome; I'm done with this track, but always looking to improve my awful production. Thanks, and I hope you enjoy it.
  2. This is a version of the Chocobo Theme I recorded in my teaching room a few years back (tracked and mixed from my phone) and I was thinking about doing a full-blown Irish Folk/Jazz thing with it with solos and some new melodies. I thought the palette was pretty nice for what it is, though! Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in hearing.
  3. Dear OCR Community... This is my second remix. I thought it a good idea to look at the "Requests" forum for ideas and found one from "DoubleBro7" that was both fun and challenging. Here's the URL of the original tune on YouTube: https://youtu.be/ZdZ6bwhCmms Here's the URL to my remix of same: http://www.homegrownhymns.com/Celtic_Square.mp3 <- This is the ReMix Here's a screen shot of the remix in the DAW (helps explain the mix): My attempt was to focus on the Celtic feel I got from listening to the original. I tried to stay with the swing 12/8 feel and add triplets as spice. I also added harmony throughout and a new melody line in the middle. Please provide feedback as I always find it helpful Thanks... dabedaab (Steve Snider)
  4. Here's the link to the Remix: http://www.homegrownhymns.com/PickinColors.mp3 Hi all... this is my first attempt at posting anything to OCR. Though I love all genres of music, my experience thus far has been mostly with Bluegrass. So, I found a song that I thought would work well with this genre and created a remix of the Mario Paint Theme Song. I still have ideas for enhancements I'd like to make to this remix, but am most interested in hearing what the OCR community thinks. Please listen and let me know your thoughts on how I can improve this arrangement! Thanks
