Kautzman Posted February 12, 2008 Share Posted February 12, 2008 I've had this idea in my head of a remixing To Zanarkand into a mellow rhythm, almost jazzy, but as I worked on it, it just wasn't turning out the way I wanted to. I almost scrapped the idea and as I was just messing around on the piano, I started meshing Greensleeves into the melody and it seemed to work. Greensleeves (What Child is This.) Is a Christmas Carol, not a piece of VG music. My question is if, and when I complete this, is it worth submitting to OCR since it's not 100% VG music? Just make sure there's enough zanarkand in there and as far as I know you should be fine in terms of arrangement Just make sure the zanarkand theme is recognizable. good luck! Christmas song + video game song has been proven to work in the past 'round there parts, though it has been SOME time since the last one crossed the front page, I think. Not anymore. We wouldn't accept that nowadays, but we're not going to remove it, because we had no rule against the inclusion of substantial non-VGM arrangement.
