I'm wondering if you guys have gotten my submission email yet? I submitted it on 8/12/2014 with the subject "Unknown Alias - Submission", but after 3 days I didn't get an auto-confirm email. I tried sending it again yesterday, but still no email in my inbox or junk. I sent both my emails to submissions@ocremix.org. Did I do something wrong at all? Kantai Collection is a super popular browser game about WW2 era Japanese battleships personified as cute girls. It's pretty unknown in the west, but in Japan it's literally the biggest thing since Touhou. No, I ran it by Fishy after it passed and asked if the resubbed version was album-worthy, and we agreed it was. You have a spot on the FF9 album with the track if you'd like it. I was messing around with different album ideas in my head, and I have one in notepad from on my hard drive (Marble Madness), when I started thinking of something Darkesword said he'd like to do. Take all the short map themes in the Mario series and turn them into extended trance mixes, kind of like this song from Daniel Kandi: I had in mind SMB3. 8 worlds, 8 tracks, but long trance journeys like the song above, or this one: I might start working on the concept and submit a formal proposal for it based on the response here. I mean, I see all the time stuff getting rejected for very small production or structural issues. That's all sub-1000 mixes were. But maybe that's just my opinion. Definitely would love to see OCR shout out some newer mixes when they do these articles. No offense intended to sub1000 mixes, it was a different time. There were 7 choices that were past 2500 out of 25... Still it's not a huge deal, the choices are representative of individuals and what they dig or are familiar with -- Chimpazilla picked 3 that were all post-2500 so nearly half of all the post-2500 choices. It's not my place to say WHAT people should pick of course. But if you guys had picked for each person choosing, say, 1 old mix, 1 mid-age mix and 1 modern mix to represent OCR and its evolution over the years that would have been cool and maybe a little more balanced Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
