How to plug-in "BIG" headphone jack

I ordered an SR60 from Amazon. They sent me an SR80. Which is about 40$ more, for free. I'm glad for that, but the only problem is that it's a "BIG" plug and I don't know how to use it.

It unscrews to the standard size, but I get less quality right?

Sorry.. absolute headphone newb here.

So just out of curiosity, why do you think the smaller plug gets you lower quality?

Because the plug is smaller

The difference in quality depends on the format the music (or whatever) it is in and where it's being played, I'm no expert so I'm probably wrong (With the big plug on my home theater system music sounds worse then with the small plug on my pc...That's probably because I'm using FLAC and a DSP and Equalizer and other plug-ins on my winamp :-)).

The quality is in the cable much more than the jacks and plugs. Just use an adapter.

Also, the quality difference between the cables with 3.5mm plugs and cables with 1/4" plugs isn't that great. You'll be fine with your current cables.
