Hmm, I just realized that I sent this thing in sometime in October, and come

to think about it, I don't recall getting a confirmation e-mail to go with

it either. So just in case it got lost the first time, here it is again.

Name: Z Gravity

Original track: Summer Squid, Napple Tale soundtrack, composed by Yoko

Kanno.

Remix title: Red Calamari

Link: (hope it works)

Thanks for the link to the original Malcos! You made this much easier for me!

this sounds more like a MIDI file than an MP3. Except for the flanged drums. Terrible transition at ~0:48. Inferior arrangement to the original, this is simplified rather than expanded upon. Not that simplification can't have good results, but in this case it doesn't. Overall, this is very amateurish sounding, and thus not for OCR.

This song has lots of annoying qualities:

The horns. I don't think I've ever liked those general midi horns since the day of their inception. And no, I don't know when they were originally designed, but this whole mix sounds very dry, and very empty. It sounds like a midi was taken, with three or four tracks in it, and they were mixed and matched and soloed, and then slapped together in a final product. It just sounds very incomplete. The development is minimal at best.

NO
