analoq Posted March 22, 2003 Author Share Posted March 22, 2003 I was thinking 'no' when I first listened to this, because the instrumentation is a bit lacking, no percussion except for that bell thing for instance, and the mastering is ungood, it's too quiet, even for an orchestral piece and could use some more energy in the higher frequencies. The original's abrasive upper-register synth-organs have been replaced with much more aurally pleasing, serene instrumentation. I agree that the mastering leaves much to be desired, but otherwise the product clearly reflects labor in the arrangement department. The haunting flute sometimes sounds out of key when it hits the high notes, but the sum of the means is pleasingly acceptable. YES Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
