Soundtracks you didn't know were stolen

Why would I use a browser that plays my gifs too slowly (last time I checked, both use a down throttling setup like IE does)? Besides, it has something to do with FireFox 3. Various interactive things simply don't work, like the play buttons on that site, or the newer interactive radar on weather.com. They work fine on the final versions of FireFox 2, so I just downgraded.

The MediaWrap plugin fixes it.

I may get laugh for this but I think KOF '98 intro song (the riff) stole the riff to Aerosmith's "Walk this Way"

(King of Fighters '98)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORAvMk-iXec (Walk this Way)

Also, apparently the reason the song "Singing Mountain" from Chrono Trigger SNES was removed from the game is due to the composer was inspired by "Castle in the Sky" main theme but didn't wanted to be call a thief. So I heard.

Singing Mountain:

Castle in the Sky Theme:

Which is not shocking seeing Chrono Trigger's Zeal Era (forgot what was the actual year) is inspired by that movie.

I do believe Micheal Jackson composed the score for Sonic 3 seeing he was a huge Sonic fan.

This is offtopic now?

Perhaps djp is about to alter this site so that it's no longer about game music, remixing, or music in general. Maybe he's changing it's central theme to sewing, making this thread no longer have any bearing on OCR or its main focus.

I mean, that's all I can think of as to why a thread about music would be off topic here.

Companies sometimes reuse their own music in games of different series.

Nintendo is guilty

Super Mario Bros. World 3 Map and Legend of Zelda's File Select and Great Fairy Fountain music

Capcom is guilty - My friend spotted this when I introduced him to Street Fighter II after he somehow avoided it for all these years!

Street Fighter II Character Select and of all things,

Thread necromancy time:

I've heard this in a remix here, I am nearly 100% positive, can't remember which one, so I figured I'd throw it out in here while I was searching on my own.

it sounds familiar to me too, but from what i'm not sure.

does this sound familiar? it did to me, especially around 2:50, then i realized why:

Maybe you're noticing similarities between that and the Requiem theme from Ninja Gaiden? (It's in these two remixes here and others on other sites: http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR00867/, http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR00934/)

Before I read this post, the theme was going through my head and then all of a sudden I heard:

SOME GUY, HE DIED, AND PEOPLE CRIED. WHEN PEOPLE DIE YOU TEND TO CRY.
