Suggest me some good 80's-style uplifting melodic rock (preferably featuring synths)

Hi folks!

I really enjoy listening to those uplifting 80's rock songs (you know, the kind of songs that were often used for training montages), especially when they feature some nice synthesizer sounds. Since a lot of music buffs frequent these messageboards, I decided to ask you guys if you know any songs/bands I should check out. Any suggestions?

This is the kind of music I'm searching for (I've left out the obvious ones like Europe and Survivor):

John Farnham - The Quiet Ones You Gotta Watch

John Farnham - Nothin's Gonna Stand In Our Way

Glenn Frey - You Belong To The City

Manfred Mann's Earth Band - The Runner

I'd also like to know if this kind of music was still being made AFTER the 80's, and if there are any bands in existence that still produce this kind of sound.

Thanks in advance!

hehe I like this thread...

- Vince Dicola - Traning Montage (had to put that on in there because of the name :P)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jC6yVvnoduQ - Dare - Into the fire

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofw4ojlCkOU - Saraya - Back to the bullet

- Cheap Trick - Mighty Wings

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6-2m_-Yihc - Bad English - Forget Me Not

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGcxN2D1E34 - Van Halen - Dreams

You may know one or two of those... :D

EDIT: Everyone and their dog knows this, but it can't not go in this thread so...
