I can just see it now, a whole bunch of OCRtists running around with their 25-key MIDI keyboard, making sweet beats and technos in FL Studio. It'd be useful for smaller studios, or use with a laptop or netbook on the go. I wonder if it actually requires MIDI cables though, which probably next to nobody actually uses. Guy In Rubber Suit Posted June 11, 2010 Share Posted June 11, 2010 With Mad Catz, we're developing a console adapter, so you would be able to plug in whatever MIDI keyboard you have, or whatever MIDI drum set you have, and then use that to play Rock Band. Nice! I can use my MIDI keyboard then! I'm really curious how the real guitar is going to interact with the game. From the pics I've seen, it looks like it can take a standard guitar cable input, so maybe I can use my own guitar? But from the interview here that really doesn't seem to be the case. Either way, I'm actually pretty stoked about this. Harmonix, I was doubting you at first with your Lego, Beatles, and Green Day Rock Bands, feeling that you were falling into Activision's trap of mediocrity and what do you do? I'm pretty sure that a regular electric guitar doesn't send data through a standard output, so Rockband couldn't understand what you're playing on the guitar unless it has a built in processing software to figure out what notes you're playing.
