It's one of my favorite video game songs. The mix starts with a piano riff taken from Lost Odyssey - Parting Forever. Since the source is very short, I merged it one of my own songs I wrote some 10 years ago. Hope you'll like it. I personally feel it is ready for submission. Still, you took this in a cool direction and I especially like the acoustic guitar work in here. That's just beautiful Best of luck with the panel! Since it's already been submitted, it's a wait-and-see, but on the off chance they ask you to resubmit, PLEASE DO, I definitely wanna see this posted, as a huge RoS fan. My thoughts? Emunator's right on the intro piano; not so much the decay, in my opinion, but the velocity & thinness of the sample - patch used sounds a little tinny. Better piano sample, played a bit softer, would give this mix the intro it deserves. I might up the bass a little - it's good! So yeah, esp. w/ the acoustic guitar bits, I'm digging this. I used to toy around videogame music until I listened to your RoS mix some 9-10 years ago. Definitely going to resubmit if this gets rejected. I think I can swap the Piano with a better sample even if resubmit is not required. If you like it too, I have really high hopes of this getting accepted. I've seen far too many rejections already.
