Chrono Trigger: Chrono Symphonic - History

dunno if it's already been said, but i'm not scanning through 26 pages...

A Tesseract is an object that can only exist in 4-dimensional space. We draw it in 2-dimensional space by showing a cube with a cube inside of it (which just distorts our perception of a tesseract), but all the sides are connected to the outer cube. You can even make a tesseract in 3-dimensional space, but it's still not what it really looks like, what a tesseract REALLY looks like is impossible to make in 3-dimensional space, because the tesseract only exists in the FOURTH dimension...*cue Outer Limits music* The fouth dimension is aka "time" is related to Chrono Trigger, however, the word "chronicles" denotes a log of the passing of time. So, you're basically saying, "The Times of Time." That's pretty freakin' redundant if you ask me. And redundancy is BAD.

EXPLANATION: The Tesseract is the place in the Chrono series where discarded timelines are sent. Something changes in time, the old dimension is tossed here and a new one is created. Since in the movie, Crono & Co. are constantly changing history, several revised timelines are made, meaning that every previous one goes to the Tesseract...meaning that the story itself is a Chronicle of the Tesseract. Every song, then, would be a way of telling that story, meaning that they, too, are Chronicles.

While Chozo is widely known as the ancient race on some planet in some Metroid series (at least, I've played only one Metroid game and I knew what the Chozo were), I don't think the Tesseract in Chrono Trigger as being a "log" of time is common knowledge. It sounds like something taken out of a Chrono Trigger "Perfect Guide" that was never made widely available.

A tesseract is NOT a phenomenon of physics, and a fourth dimension is NOT necessarily time.

The common name for a tesseract is a hypercube, or a 4-dimensional cube, which is basically a node with four connections to other nodes, or a geometric shape that looks like two cubes joined together at the corners, or a cube inside a cube.

Hypercubes and n-dimensional cubes used extensively in distributed systems research because it takes only an average log(n) steps to go from one node to another in an n-dimensional cube (if I recall correctly).

Alright...instead of posting suggestions, let me just think this over. So please, stop making your own titles. It's far too confusing with everybody voicing their opinions at one time.

Let me sort it out, and for the moment, let's forget about the entire thing. I'll get back to it later.

Anyway, in regards to the music...

That's a cool pic, but it's only a 3-Dimensional depiction. You must remember that the lengths of every side of every cube-like object in a tesseract ARE THE SAME! Yes, it doesn't look that way, but that's because we aren't able to see what it looks like because we can only think in three dimensions. You have to imagine the rest.

Just as a suggestion, Claado, but you should try to get Nixdorux in on this. If you've heard any of his Zelda songs over on VGMix, you can see has has superb talent at orchestra (his recent submission to OCR is something different for his tastes, though).

On an unrelated note to the project, does anybody know how to steal items in Chrono Trigger? I read about it in a FAQ, but it never said how to. Of course, if Claado doesn't want you guys to answer, then that's fine.

You need Ayla; give her enough tech points after recruiting her and she'll learn the 'Charm' tech. Just use it on whoever you want to steal from; if you want a higher chance of stealing, Ayla and Marle have a doubletech, but Marle too needs to have enough tech points.

Just to keep everyone on their toes, i SSed some pics for ya'll.

Now about this movie, is it gonna be animated? 3d? or just flashing screens while the music plays in the background? cause i'm good at taking screens.... i'm REALLY good at it... wish i could remix.. but no.. just screens.. 8O8O8O

in the Zombor pic i cut out Marle cause she isn't there in your script. I was thinking of putting a bunch of Screens together in photoshop, make a whole map of each era. its easy with the Epoch.

Wow, nice tracks!

I've been away from these parts for a month or two...and I just looked at the Chrono Resurrection trailer and saw it was shut down by the Square-Enix nazis.

It irks me to no end that the evil empire would wait until the people who put such effort into the project were THAT far into development to can the project. That shows absolutely no class whatsoever. Meanwhile, Square-Enix continues to push out craptacular games (FFX, FFX-2, FF Online where they STILL haven't made any money).

What is their PROBLEM? Maybe if they'd LISTEN to their long time consumers they'd earn some frickin' profitable business.

Oh well.........

Hey Moose, if you ever want to speak to Pun, let me know. You should remember him from END, though he didn't make VDS. Though VDS in its later stages was utter crap.

Hey, I noticed WIPs have come to VGMix from this project. Why not post them here as well?

Hey Zeal/JPG how is it going? Yes I remember pun and all the END/VDS folks. And yes, VDS (and all JK1 clans) were crap in the later days. VDS was awesome in its time though, so was END which was made by Hex.

I think I was in both clans for a day hehe....yes I know I was a dirty little clan hopper lol... But vanion/hex and I all had fun with it.
