prophetik music Posted September 26, 2011 Share Posted September 26, 2011 looks like we're going to need a mod to disable that "feature". exactly what i thought. my giant hole underground is utterly useless now. it's not about light, it's simply an artificial view-distance adjustment. i am not a fan. change the lighting, don't just add fog a la Shadows of the Empire on the n64. also, hoser =D make sure you type in "/warp prophetikdong" as soon as you log in! there is a large library and two tall towers shaped kind of like heimerdongers. Meh, maybe when the server is back up, we started a new one on 1.8. It's all vanilla, the only thing is that since it was a no monster server, I was gifted the slimeballs. The big issue is that I had to create the hole for the wiring and placing the redstone circuit, with little leeway for space as I had a massive lake, and natural cave systems in the way. I had to mine about 700 redstone dusts, just keeping each piston individually powered (because of redstone circuits issues) meant I needed 54 repeater, each row of piston needing 3 repeater loops, and all of that under a clock delay loop to keep it up long enough to cross, that is in the same room as the piston system for the door, and the door's dead switch. So yeah, 3 systems in the same room it was a bit of a mess. I should ask my friend for the map so that I can make another video of the circuit for the bridge. East, I think, it's hard to tell, the game is somewhat foggy despite me settings... weather effect? Any way, after about thirty seconds, I come across this. I didn't make that. That was there when I spawned. It has a fully furnished interior with a workbench, and the well has water in it. Even the little garden is starting to go to seed. Some of my friends and I just run what's essentially a creative mode server (technically multiplayer survival, but no mobs and everyone can spawn materials and fly).
