So Monster Hunter 4 has a release window. So far it's just Japan, but I can't imagine it not making it stateside towards the end of next year.

This version DOES have online multiplayer, so now I'm torn between grabbing 3 Ultimate(which only has local 3DS play) and just waiting for this. Dammit! I need more people to play anything locally around here!

I recommend everyone pick up the demo for The Denpa Men: They Came by Wave. It's quirky and quite fun. I caught one of these Denpa Men purely because he had a magnificent mustache! XD

Plus the demo lets you save your progress and create Transfer Data to carry your stuff over into the full version, releasing on the eShop next month.

You dregs should download the new 'Denpa men' demo. It seems to be a dungeon-crawler RPG with an AR character capture feature. Made by the dregs that made the Pokemon Colosseum games, but the demo was fun enough so I'm definitely thinking of downloading the full game this Thursday. Thanks again for bringing the demo to my attention, Mirby.

So anyone know if Nintendo plans to create a solution to link any 3DS eshop purchases to an account like your Club Nintendo ID or Nintendo Network or anything like that? Don't know if I want to grab any more stuff unless I have an answer to that just yet.

That would be good to know, particularly considering cross-platform eShop releases. If Nintendo would, say, confer a licensee of a VC title bought on a 3DS with a license to the same user to also download and play on the Wii U when the title is available for both systems, it'd be convenient and intiutive.

Yeah I said "screw it" and just decided to start buying my stuff again. Not like I mind giving Nintendo and devs more money. Grabbed Kirby's Adventure a few days ago and man do I really wish I had a chance to play it when it first released. Such good times. It's essentially Nintendo's version of Mega Man,

Anyway, I forgot to provide my 3DS XL friend code so we can get some Mario Kart and Kid Icarus and such going. It's 1332 - 9045 - 4269, so go ahead and cross out the old one.

Edit- FINALLY finished adding everyone on the front page. Add me, people!

The 3DS connectivity is limited to one specific 3DS app, Dream Radar. If you play your Black/White 2 cart on your 3DS with Dream Radar on it, you can play a little AR game that lets you catch pokémon in Dream Radar and then send them to your BW2 cart.

It's $3 for Dream Radar, and it's strictly an add-on that could have simply been replaced by an extra post-Elite 4 quest.

But since they started with that fucking Pokémon Global Link bullshit, Nintendo seems more and more keen to augment the game using outside methods rather than expand it. I fear what may come over the next several years...

Other than that... there is no real benefit to using a 3DS for it. Unless you use it for WPA wireless instead of WEP on a DS or DS Lite. But that's nothing new.

So what do you think of B2/W2 outside of the 3DS stuff? Good entry in the series? good game period?

Not having played Black and White 2, I can't say.

And we do have a Pokémon Black and White 2 thread already. But it is several months dead, and it hardly contains any new info since then... maybe it's time to make anew one with better info in it?

I'm trying to think of the must-have games for the 3DS.

If only a new Advance Wars would come out!

If they announced that and a western release for Kokuga I think I'd go buy myself a 3DS for sure.

But as it stands, I'm still waiting for, if not a killer app, a large collection of worthy titles to justify a purchase when so many good DS games still remain unbought.

Must haves?

Would the recently announced for localization Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, due out early 2013, fall on that list?

Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS Heats up for the Holidays (release dates, new games and more)

REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Nintendo 3DS owners are getting an amazing lineup of downloadable games for the holidays and beyond. Original games, classic games and demos will all be making an appearance in the Nintendo eShop. Fans also will soon find downloadable versions of select Nintendo 3DS hits that have already launched as packaged goods.

Nintendo 3DS owners will see a sequel to fan-favorite Pushmo, classics like Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania: The Adventure, plus a series of three original games developed by LEVEL-5 and several well-known Japanese collaborators.

“The Nintendo eShop demonstrates Nintendo’s commitment to providing consumers with unique digital content through a combination of creativity and convenience,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “The variety and quality of games coming this year is unmatched, from new entries in established franchises to original properties.”

The following content is scheduled to launch in the Nintendo eShop in 2012:

ORIGINAL GAMES

NightSky launches Oct. 25. NightSky is an action-puzzle game that offers an ambient game-play experience with cerebral challenges that fill uniquely designed, picturesque worlds. Each of these worlds is broken into different areas in which the player must maneuver a sphere by using realistic physics to advance.

Crashmo launches Nov. 22. Players can embrace the laws of gravity and challenge themselves with a whole new kind of action-puzzle play in this exciting sequel to the critically acclaimed Pushmo. New gravity mechanics and gadgets like floating blocks, doors and move switches await, testing players’ skills as they push, pull and slide each puzzle’s colorful blocks in order to climb to the top. Just be careful where those blocks are moved—unsupported blocks will come crashing down. Crashmo contains lots of puzzles to test your brains, and enhanced puzzle-creation and -sharing features mean that even when all the puzzles are cleared, the fun never has to stop.

Fluidity: Spin Cycle arrives on Dec. 27, letting players tilt, turn and even rotate their Nintendo 3DS system 360 degrees to maneuver a puddle of water named Eddy through a maze-like, magical world. Change from liquid to a block of ice or a steam cloud to solve fun, gravity-defying puzzles and defeat Goop monsters. Fluidity: Spin Cycle features a new storybook setting to explore that spans the ages, from a lost world full of dinosaurs to the modern world and beyond.

Three original games from LEVEL-5 and several well-known Japanese collaborators will launch in the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS before this holiday season. The first of these games, SUDA 51’s LIBERATION MAIDEN, is set 100 years in the future, when the president of Japan boards her Liberator, Kamui, and fights to free her country one region at a time. AERO PORTER by Yoot Saito and Yasumi Matsuno’s CRIMSON SHROUD are also slated for release by the end of the year.

Get ready to unleash pedestrian-tossing pandemonium with Grace and Savannah in Tokyo Crash Mobs, a fast-paced action-puzzle game coming to the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS in early 2013. Players will need lightning-fast reflexes and an eye for strategy to survive the three chaotic weeks that lie ahead for our heroines, as they take on anyone and anything that gets in their way.
