Need a music player that reads file date properties

I'm looking for a music player with an interface like iTunes and Songbird, but those two are missing something important for me- you can't organize files by the date they were created in the filesystem.

This means I want to have the latest songs I bought/downloaded at the top of the list, which goes better for organizing songs for DJ playback rotation (I tend to organize my physical albums from the newest purchased). The date modified info is not the same because you can edit mp3 tags and it fudges up the playlist order.

MP3tag isn't a player, but can read "date created" properties IIRC. Dunno if it can write to them (if that was something people even did). But it also can be set not to modify the "date modified" data if you edit tags. Not sure if any music player does this, but brought up MP3tag in case it was something you'd be interested in.
