Green Hill Zone - SOTH

I'm not sure what you mean by that, my intention was to be more improvised as in jazz.

If it lacks the actual tune of Green Hill in that sense, then perhaps I'm missing the point?

I hope you mean the volume of the different instruments in it, because that is something I'd hoped you lot would help me with, before I made my post!

Is the background too busy, anyway?

Thanks

I like the background groove, I really love this source also =) I do think things could be a bit less muddled/crowded in the remix. Like bringing out the strings and the main, and maybe with some fine panning?

I also though the section 3/4 way through sounded a bit weird, I think it's the piano, it doesn't seem to harmonize as well as everything else there. The rhythm could work, I think it is just some of the chords, but maybe it's just my personal preference =)

Keep working on it, hope to hear a finished version!

Thanks you lot!

I felt before I put this on here, that I needed to have an opinion on the overall volume of the instruments in it.

I'm glad two of you agree that the main tune is buried beneath the background.

To be honest it's what I wanted to hear, thanks guys... :-P

Hey Moddy Dhoo, I think the style suits the song well.

What seems odd to me is the placement of the splash/crash cymbal hits during the verse or "A" section. In the other sections of the tune they seem to fit in, accenting rhythms in the melody or complementing what the rest of the drums are doing, but they seem out of place in the A section. Maybe reconsider where you're putting those?

I was in the mood for something like this today, just came back from a jazz practice. :-D
