They said the same thing about HDD prices right after the Earthquake in Japan and subsequent Nuclear brewhaha, but I wouldn't be too concerned. The floods are not extremely recent (and were never even talked about by a lot of people including on here by people far more active than i am.) And it states that the floods are expected to continue for weeks. The death toll is also expected to rise. This is a human tragedy currently unfolding.
