It will be a lot of fun to see a game developed around this time period as I am already smitten by early American history. I hope they do their best. Or will it be the game that will end them all? Depends on how well the new assassin's character catches on with the masses. If it does, then you can bet Ubisoft is gonna milk it for all it's worth. If not, moving on to Assassin's Cried IV Assassin's Creed III is supposed to end the trilogy and Desmond's story, anything beyond that will end up with a new protagonist etc. However, I'm willing to bet there will be several additional ACIII games.
