While I do prefer to do this sort of work with Vienna Symphonic in Reeaper, I always wanted to have more to work with in Reason. It's been years since someone attempted to put out anything that sounded decent but that has changed. Zampled just released a library of stings for Reason and it's quite impressive considering the cost is only $49. You end up getting about 6GB of samples to use and there are a variety of articulations. While it certainly isn't a complete set, there are a number of round robins so that you can escape a lot of the machine gun effect. So, for those of us who love Reason, it's definitely worth checking out! BTW, ignore the demo songs on their website. I personally feel they represent the library rather poorly. It sounds very mushy and cheap and if you look into the NNTXs you can see there's like only 1 or 2 layers in most sounds and they spread one sample over 4 or 5 notes a lot of the time. I started playing with it and ideas came flooding in which is always the sign of a great refill.
