I like the playing and the arrangement. although the shredding in the middle lacks musicality to me. fast notes don't impress anyone anymore. good notes do.

the mixing is almost there but still needs some work.

I think the bass guitar is maybe a little too prominent or needs to be eq'd so it doesn't blow up the rest of the mix. maybe just turn it down a little bit. use a pro mix as a reference. it really sticks out in the beginning part, which i think you meant to do, but it sticks out a bit too much to my ears.

everything else sounds pretty damn good though. very clear and everything is separated well.

This is an awesome mix, here. I completely understand that this isn't a track submitted to OCR (is it?), but even disregarding that I would've loved to hear some connection to the source in the middle liberal section. Again disregarding the site, it's very good compositional practice to incorporate previous elements of a track into seemingly unrelated portions. It keeps the listener on track, makes the piece more coherent, and it gives solid practice to manipulating motifs and such for any original music you may create.

Again, this is a great track, and I'd recommend people listen to it regardless. Just consider using at least textures and background elements in your more liberal sections next time so it sounds more connected with the source.

:)

0:14 feels hollow when the lead guitar comes in. There's nothing to fill in the mids. Other parts with just bass and guitar are the same. 1:49 and similar sections are better refined.

1:04 and other busier parts are slightly overcompressed.

I agree, 1:24 doesn't have that musical merit in the solo notes, and it's really just fast scales.

2:20 is a straight copy and paste from before of the recordings you made. Sudden ending.

Other than that, it's pretty good.
