New stuff from us, yay! :P

This time we have Bubble Man ReMix for you! I think its more tranceish this time than the two other tracks we did and more like Flash Man than Metal Man ReMix in style.

I tried to put some water themed samples to it, like beach sounds, some bubbling and also the drowning for ending. I think this is pretty good now, soon final version!

We would like to hear what you guys think, we are figuring out if we should submit it to OCReMix, so all kind of feedback is very welcome.

Hope you like it guys!

I'm enjoying this! To my standards production seems lush, balanced and solid. I like the NESsy snare. There's plenty of reinterpretation of the source in the arrangement as well. The structure seems sound and the piece flows well. The watery sound ideas don't push themselves but are more subtle, which I like. If you didn't point them out, I might not have noticed the theme, but would still have thought that the overall sound was very appropriate for Bubble Man. Really good stuff, definitely submit it to OCR once you're done!

The resonant WN sweep is too resonant, especially at 0:11, and same at 2:00. The hi hat at 0:15 also has too much treble due to the little phaser effect there.

At 0:34, the sound effects sounded off-key. Can you check that again?

Also, check the really high treble. I'm hearing loads of it, so it would help to low pass the treble near 17000Hz or so, and do notches in resonant frequency ranges. 1:29, for example, is pretty resonant.

I think this is the final version now, I tried to make the mixing and mastering stuff better, dunno if its any better now.

We are both kinda bored to make this track anymore, so we hope you like this!

Maybe some little editing or something can come, depends on feedback we get and if we try to post this to OCReMix.

Elrinth got some little inspiration so he made some new stuff to ~3:25 and I've been trying to make final adjustments.

Also I'll change this to mod review, yikes never done that. :P

Intro gives me a strong Cave Story vibe. Cool. :D

I'm digging the sound. It's retro but very strong. Once the track gets going, it seems to settle into a very safe, cover-ish structure. That's a shame, you could be messing up the source in so many interesting ways. It's a shame, but I don't think it's a problem.

Again, the sound is pretty awesome. The break in the middle has some really sweet ring modulation-like sound to it. Nice. I think the break was more intense than the subsequent passage, though. Could be those background water sounds or just noise sweeps or whatever they are. You might want to look into that before subbing. Because this is subbable.

Approach 4:00, you have a nice, appropriately messed up source. I'm happy. I'm normally against the use of sound effects in music, but the retro fx fit right in with the retro sound here, and they're used discretely enough to not be a problem*. Nice work.

(* Except the very last one; it goes from more complex sounds to an 8-bit death fx. I'd automate a bitcrusher to bring the sound quality down to the same level for a smoother transition. I'd do something. It's jarring. It's annoying. It bothers me. ME!)

I keep enjoying this piece.

Somehow, the harmony of the bass sounded not quite right at 1:19-1:23. I don't hear anything wrong with it if I listen to it separately, but if I listen from the start it jumps at me. I don't think I heard anything "wrong" in the similar sections later in the piece.

I really like the slight adjustment to chord progression/bass line towards the end of the track, from 3:25 onwards. Also the drowning effect is really funny to me in the end, especially with the MM death SFX. Rozovian's subtle bitchrush-automation idea definitely sounds it's worth trying out.
