OCR02724 - Final Fantasy VI 'The Megiddo Brigade'

Definitely one of my favorites from the album. It's got that thick, tasty analog feel to it, the production is crisp, and those strings are really holding the fort down. :nicework:

Love the variations on this Dave. Keeps the track fresh and moving forward while still maintaing the tracks feel and recognizable attributes.

This mix brings to mind a mad scientist, adding parts onto his robot/magic creation, building it up, making it badder, making it crazier, and the thing powering up and beginning to try out its sinister parts and mission of havoc. Devil's Lab, indeed :)

Has a playful sort of evil in it, doesn't it? Sounds like a mix between military beat with classical madman genius, which is an interesting and amusing combination. Great arrangement, clean production, overall a damn good Remix. Nice work, DJP!

I don't know what to say, honestly; I'll try, however. I've heard quite a bit of "Orchestral Dubstep" recently, and I think that this piece is the source of my fascination with the """""genre.""""" Don't get me wrong I know that this isn't REALLY ds but I absolutely LOVE the way that you were able to fuse such a heavy synth and (some very nice) orchestral parts into this amazing mix. To be honest I can't describe it better than you did; a "fusion of magic & technology." Wonderful job.
