Hey guys,

I haven't updated here in a while about what Reunion (my label) is up to these days. I think it's time to sum it up in a real community post this time. I'll update the thread with the latest releases etc when I find enough time.

Today's our seventh birthday (YES September 19 2006!!!) and we have since, released over 200 singles, a few compilations and EPs, with the latter getting more and more focus as time goes by. This is a common trend I've seen in the netlabel scene over the years. It actually turned into a norm way before I even started Reunion. But, the whole idea of my label was to pay tribute to the olden days (in my case 1996-2000 ish), when I discovered the scene and everyone was releasing nothing but .IT & .XM singles all over the net.

We keep moving forward. In may we had a huge psytrance release from the very popular Mantra Flow, and today we released the debut release of music researcher Sirens of Titan. So we're far from dead!

Anyway, here's a list of what we've put up this year:

RNEP010 - Platonist - Chip Loop 1 EP (NEW!)

everything else is in this torrent:

hopefully it's still alive, (please help seed if you can)

I hope this will be at least somewhat helpful. I felt like I had to do something here after all the silence. :sleepdepriv:

Thanks for (if) listening!

Wow, I didn't know you operated a label. That's awesome, man, I've been a huge fan of your tunes for years. I'll definitely check it out, maybe even contribute some tunes to it one of these days.

Thanks! Cool beans, you can submit anything you want, we're always looking for good musics. I see you've been posted! I need to check your pokémon track and soundcloud asap :)

Please, please check out the soundcloud version of the Pokemon track, haha. The track posted on OCR has some rendering errors which will be immediately apparent if you listen to the OCR version vs. the soundcloud version. I have nooo idea how that fell through the cracks, but it did. Oh wellz.

Awww yeahh. Glad you liked it, man. You were a huge inspiration for me when I first started writing music a couple of years ago, so that really means something that you like my tunes!

edit: hahaha, all that praise, and I hadn't even followed you on soundcloud yet. Scumbag Ecto.

I'm not worth any praise! Haha, *blushes*.

I don't really market my soundcloud though, so it's not strange that you haven't found it before.

Whoa! :-o Eino!, long time no speak. Good to see you're still around! :-D How's it hanging!?

Hehe, sure I'm around. I have some stuff to be posted on OCR, I do my stuff on the tracker and certainly get that .ITs and .XMs part from your blurp in the original post, if I get back into making original pieces on the tracker I'll be sure to send some Reunion's way. (:

Cool! Old School trackers have their charm, can't live without them :) Which one's your favorite?

I first got into Fast Tracker II, and never really got the hang of the Impulse Tracker style interface though it supposedly very powerful with all the keyboard shortcuts. Anyway, I started using Renoise in 2008 and it has pretty much the tracker interface I'm used to, plus just about everything I dreamed would be cool back then.. I never got very productive in a regular DAW environment, so Renoise has been really good for me.

Yeah, that's the major problem for me with Renoise, I am not used to the Fast Tracker interface (Impulse Tracker guy as you might know). I've tried to make a few tracks with Renoise, but it always turns into something minimal, like tech-house or the like, which... is not really my thing :)

  • 1 month later...

In October last year I started posting chip tunes on my soundcloud regularly.

This EP consists of 6 of those chip tunes, remastered & placed in a tracklist that is able to loop in on itself. You can also loop the individual tracks, as they are composed in a classic VGM style.

1. Air Floor

2. M4D R3SOLVE!

3. Shuffle On Icy Slopes

4. Zoe & The Forest

5. Wind Chime

6. Phase Castle

http://platonist.bandcamp.com/

Be sure to check my newly launched bandcamp for .WAV & .FLAC versions (also free), which loop properly in most (?) media players. The file on Reunion contains the .MP3s, due to storage space limitations, and since .mp3s have a file header they PROBABLY won't loop properly.

A huge thanks to Adam (theGarbs) for helping me with the master!
