The previous round will not be remembered as the most legendary PRC round. Still two remixers entered, ending with only one point difference. Trism claimed victory. Here's my pick for PRC256; Puppet Tower from Dynamite Headdy. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix. You can also post the song in this thread if that doesn't work. Then I'll make sure it works. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted in this thread. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they recieve a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of this round may select the source for PRC257. The winner of PRC255, Trism, cannot take part in this round. However, he is free to submit a bonus mix and his vote counts twice. You can find the full rules list at this page as well. It's one of the best platformers on the Mega Drive (Genesis for most of you guys of course) and the soundtrack is amazing. In reality there are hundreds of Dynamite Headdy remixes being sent to OCR every single day. @Trism: The remix you mention used to be part of an album, before the KNGI-pocalypse. @Eino: Thanks for linking to the thread via twitter. Would have missed it otherwise. Posting in this thread to reiterate my undying love for the People Remixing Competition. I've learned so much during the course of this compo, and some of my best works originated from it. Major props to Bundeslang for soldiering-on and pushing forward despite the (at times) lukewarm reception and modest attendance. I cannot recommend this compo enough, whether you're a newbie or a veteran. Just drop the mainstream stuff and step in the arena to challenge yourself at remixing some amazing under-appreciated gems. Actually, I said "this is fate" because I've been sitting on a concept for a remix of this source that I've had since the development of SBP, but considering how much work would go into the remix compared to most of my other stuff, I didn't have a real reason to get around to it. To vote, do the following: - Visit the stated ThaSauce Page and listen to all the entries - Scroll to the form at the bottom of the screen. - Fill in the rank of the entries from first to second. Leave the third box empty. - State a reasoning for it. - Participants are encouraged to vote and leave feedback. However, they may not vote for themselve, they should leave the second and third box empty. They get a free first place bonus if they vote, so it does not matter for the results. Non participants are encouraged to vote to decide the winner and leave comments. Trism has a vote that counts normal, but in a case of a tie his vote decides the winner. DrumJ8 Posted October 30, 2013 Share Posted October 30, 2013 I forgot to vote :/ I was going to vote while driving in to work this morning but then I felt bad because I hadn't had a chance yet to listen to evktalo's track and couldn't give feedback .. I have since listened to it and I liked evktalo's track a lot, I liked the groove. Although there were only two elements, they were two pretty good elements that worked well together.
