nitrozsz
Do the Final Fantasy remixes have to come from Overclocked, or can they come from other sources as well (arrangement albums, live performances, etc...I think the answer might be obvious, but I wanted to double check. Cause holy crap will this be a tough one to submit for if any remix/arrangement is eligable)? Also, yay more Spencer Nilsen!
OverClocked PodCast
Any remix/arrangement! The doors of possibility have been flung open, my friend! - Stephen
FenixDown
Great to have you guys back! Loved the second half of the Spencer Nilson interview. The US version of the Sonic CD soundtrack was the first video game soundtrack I ever owned that I could listen to outside of the game itself (since you could play the music from the game disc) so it was pretty cool hearing a bit about how some of that music was conceived. I'm looking forward to hearing what gets submitted for next episode's playlist. classic_gamer_76
classic_gamer_76
Man, I can't even wait to listen to Mr. Nilsen's next video game soundtrack I really hope it'll get a physical or digital release since we cannot put our game disc in a music player anymore to listen to its OST (man, those were the days...). Would've enjoyed if he could've tell us a bit more about that 'Amazing Spider-Man vs. Kingpin' soundtrack. Credits are not very clear regarding how David Young and himself worked together on this one and since it never got an official release, I'm left wondering if he only worked on the cutscenes' music -- like he did for 'The Adventures of Batman and Robin' -- and 'Swing Time' or if he actually provided some action stage BGMs too. Anyway, great episode once again, guys! I really hope you'll manage to get more VGM composers on the show once in a while! Keep up the good work
Eino Keskitalo
I want to be Spencer Nielsen when I grow up. Luckily, he provided a lot of advice how to do that. Great way to open up the part 2: "Sonic CD!" Here's my playlist submission: http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01304
DarkEco
Man, this is awesome! Sonic CD U.S is in my top 5 all time favourite soundtracks! Spencer sounds like such a cool guy as well, the type of guy you'd want to have a beer with.

Did you discover the Japanese soundtrack by putting the disc into a PC/CD player too? Keep up the good work Yeah, we didn't get into as much VGM detail as I expected since Spencer had so many life lessons to pass on. I'm sure we'll have him back, though! If you have anyone you'd like to see on the show, let us know-- we're always looking for new guests! On 12/15/2016 at 9:27 AM, evktalo said: I want to be Spencer Nielsen when I grow up. Here's my playlist submission: http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01304 I absolutely want to be Spencer Nilsen when I grow up. Bryan was worried that intro would be jarring, but I fought for it! Also, sorry about missing your Playlist pick; I have to get back in the habit of checking the forums. On 12/16/2016 at 4:15 PM, DarkEco said: Man, this is awesome!
