Who can help me out with remixes for a game project I am working on?

A good day to you all,

I am currently in progress of creating a remake of a game which title might not ring a bell for anyone living beyond Germany's borders. :) I want to change that.

It is a german rpg called Ambermoon for the Amiga. Despite having a splendid ost not one single remix had been made it seems. Not one.

Check out the ost for yourselves: https://youtu.be/MoNVLf2Td-c

Can someone help me out and create at least some tracks like the overworld map or dungeon tracks? It might help me when presenting some sort of prototype later on (if it ever reached that stage) and get me in the right spirit while working on the game itself.

Or is there a way I could do it myself with some practice and the right kind of program to make a simple rework on the amiga chiptune originals?

Thanks for any advice on that.

Interesting note: The original composer for the game's ost proclaimed on the (internet back in the days) he would make a full arranged soundtrack for Ambermoon if 200 people sent him an email requesting it. It never reached that amount.

Amiga chiptunes huh? Probably .mod files. You could import them into a more modern tracker (specialty music program for this type of music notation) and swap out the simple samples for more complex ones. That won't necessarily sound good, and it's nothing like making an orchestral track (whether properly arranged for orchestra or not) in modern DAWs (also music programs). Those require arrangement, humanization, sound libraries, mixing.

If you have some skill with music and good ears for mixing, you can probably do it yourself (to a passable degree anyway), as those tend to be the more important things to learn when learning how to make music yourself. If not, you'd best make friends with some music people that know the game and its soundtrack. Not to discourage you from trying it yourself, making music is fun and worthwhile, but it does take time.

What kind of style do you seek? Are you going fully modern? Or are you looking to give it just a slight upgrade? By slight upgrade I mean like maybe a slightly newer console than Amiga.

If you were thinking to go full 16-bit console style, I'd be your guy, so long as I could find a decent source. VGM/VGZ or MIDI formats would be something I could use. Here's why I'd be the guy for that

If you're looking for something else, do let me know while I seek out something I could use.  I am capable of more than chip sounds. Meanwhile, see if you can do a VGM dump of the tunes with an emulator or something. That may help future candidates.
