Souperion Posted February 24, 2020 Share Posted February 24, 2020 Whoa, and whoa again. I always love to see Ridley's theme reworked, and this is... bestial. Them drums, though. I love the distorted, almost chippy elements of the intro before they give way to the pounding percussion and your distorted synthesizers (of which I am envious and wish I could make my guitar samples sound as good as.) Your subtle (and not so subtle) variations on the oh-so-simple and ravenous source are excellent, I can just hear the roars and missile explosions of a good boss fight. Good work here! brynolf11 Posted March 17, 2020 Share Posted March 17, 2020 Very creative and varied! I like the synth sounds but the drums sound a bit plastic. Maybe you could find another snare sample with more velocity layers or something to get away from the "sample drawn in at 127 velocity" feel.
