The synths used sound very similar to the FM synths used in the source, matching almost identically with the texture, in fact, and some healthy pads to fill the space where the genesis couldn't. The arrangement definitely has some fun with the lead melody of the source, too, playing with it in every section of the arrangement rather than just at the climax, which runs the risk of everything sounding a little "same-y" but with an arrangement this short it presents no issues.
